Cotter pins, also called split pins, are equipped with two tines that bend during application. These metal fasteners lock in place during installation when the two ends of the cotter pin are bent apart, and are meant for temporary use.

The PN-12506 Plain Cotter Pin features an extended prong style. This prong style makes it easier to separate the tines during application. All of the premium cotter pins meet ANSI B18.8.1 dimensional specifications and feature a chisel point for easy insertion.

The PN-12506 pin is 1/16 x 1 in and has a weight/C of 0.10 lbs.
