Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the WSBE series of AEC-Q200 qualified Power Metal Strip® shunt resistors, designed for high-power, precision current sensing. Featuring industry-low TCR down to ±10 ppm/°C, the WSBE series offers resistance values as low as 15 µΩ and power ratings up to 50 W. Available in 8518 and 8536 case sizes, these resistors provide exceptional stability with low inductance (<5 nH) and minimal thermal EMF (<1.25 µV/°C).  

Ideal for battery management systems (BMS) in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), including motorcycles and golf carts, the WSBE series also supports energy monitoring, industrial motor drives, power tools, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and satellite applications. Their robust design eliminates the need for temperature compensation, simplifies calibration, and reduces component count, leading to more efficient circuit designs.  

Manufactured using Vishay’s advanced processing techniques, WSBE series resistors ensure long-term stability with a resistance tolerance of ±5% and an extended operating temperature range of -65 °C to +170 °C. They are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green, making them an environmentally friendly choice for next-generation electronic systems.
