November 18, 2013 – Newbury Park, CA – Opto Diode (, a

division of ITW, and a member of the ITW Photonics Group, introduces the SXUVPS4C, aquadrant photodiode with a 5 mm 2 active area in each quadrant. The new device is the first of two new SXUV multi-element photodiodes to be introduced.

The convenient TO-5 windowless package features a 5-pin header, making it easy tointegrate into new or existing systems. With light responsivity from 1 to 1000 nm anda shunt resistance of 100 Mohms, the new quadrant photodiode is ideal for 2 axespositional-centering applications for lasers in the 13.5 nm to 200 nm wavelengthrange. The proven stability over time and high-power, short wavelength applications ensure stable responsivity over years, for the typical application.

Operating and storage temperatures range from -10 degrees C to 40 degrees C (ambient) and from -20 degrees C to 80 degrees C (in nitrogen or vacuum conditions). The maximum junction temperature is 70 degrees C and the leadsoldering temperature is 260 degrees C at 0.080 in. from the case for 10 seconds.
