Construction: The movable contact is securely welded to the bimetal sheet and attached to the iron bracket. The stationary silver contact and the base are integrated as a single unit. When current flows, the circuit is completed through the bimetal disc, connecting the movable and static contacts. Upon reaching the set operating temperature, the bimetal disc deforms, breaking the circuit to prevent overheating. As the temperature cools, the disc snaps back to its original position, closing the circuit and allowing the system to resume operation.
