Thermal Protector: ST01 A U2 for Power Protection
Featured Product from Saftty Electronic Technology Co., Limited
Product Overview The ST01 A U2 Thermal Protector is a high-performance thermal switch designed to protect electrical circuits from overheating. It operates in a power class ranging from 1.6 A to 7.5 A, featuring a normally closed design that resets automatically once the temperature returns to a safe level. Ideal for various applications, this thermal protector offers reliability and precision in safeguarding your devices.
Key Features
- Automatic Reset: Resets automatically once the temperature falls below the reset threshold, ensuring continuous protection.
- Connector Cables: Comes with connector cables for easy installation.
- Robust Construction: Built with high-quality materials for durability and reliable performance.
- Compact Design: Small footprint with a diameter of 8.6 mm and thickness of 4.5 mm, suitable for tight spaces.
Main Components
- Ceramic Cover Plate: Ensures insulation and durability.
- Stationary Silver Contact: Riveted to the ceramic cover for stable connection.
- Spring Disc: Welded to the movable contact, forming a cross shape for effective operation.
- Movable Contact: Engages with the stationary contact to complete the circuit.
- Conductive Housing: Facilitates current flow and protects internal components.
- Bimetal Disc: Deforms with heat to trigger the switching mechanism.
Construction and Function
- Construction: The stationary silver contact is riveted to the ceramic cover plate, while the movable contact is welded to a spring disc. The bimetal disc is positioned on the spring disc. Current flows through the stationary contact to the movable contact and then through the spring disc to the conductive housing, completing the circuit.
- Function: Under normal conditions, the movable contact maintains a close connection with the stationary contact. When the temperature reaches the rated threshold, the bimetal disc deforms, causing the movable contact to separate from the stationary contact and disrupt the circuit. As the temperature drops, the bimetal disc and spring disc return to their original positions, re-establishing the circuit.
