1. Application Background
Used in ring, large dry-type, and medical transformers, this protector mitigates fire hazards by preventing overheating from high ambient temperatures or abnormal operation.
2. Protection Principle
When temperatures exceed the rated limit, the bimetallic sheet deforms, breaking the circuit to cut off power. If integrated into the control loop, it signals the control board to disconnect. It resets automatically when temperatures return to normal.
3. Installation Site
- Embedded: Installed within the coil for accurate temperature sensing.
- Surface: Mounted on the coil's surface and insulated with tape.
4. Specifications
- Models: ST01 and ST06 series for coil embedding.
- Current Ratings: ST01 (6.3A), ST06 (10A).
- Temperature Ratings: 130?, 150?, 155?, and 180?, typically insulation level F; H level for higher requirements.
5. Precautions
- Pressure: Do not exceed 30 KG to avoid damaging the protector.
- Current: Ensure transformer current does not exceed protector ratings.
- Soaking Process: Control vacuum, temperature, and time during dip painting (max -0.09 Mpa).
- Certifications: UL, VDE, TUV, CQC, etc.
