As an approved course provider by TÜV Rheinland, Schmersal offers the official Functional Safety of Machinery training course and exam for the Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) certificate. 

During the course, Schmersal Functional Safety instructors will focus on ISO 13849 and IEC 62061 while going in-depth into the International regulations, basic risk assessment concepts, examples of protective equipment for machinery, safety functions, circuit designs, Performance Level (PL) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) calculations. 

Upon passing a final exam, attendees will receive the internationally recognized Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) certificate, confirming their knowledge and successful completion of the course. CEUs are also available for sucessful completion of the course.

This is an in-depth course, covering several days. In-person sessions are 4 full days (8 hours), plus one day for the 3-hour exam. The course is also available virtual (live) over 8 half days (4 hours), plus the exam.
