New Hyde Park NY -- An expanded line of miniature right angle drives manufactured by Stock Drive Products are designed for fractional and subfractional horsepower applications. They are available from stock with inch or metric shafts and feature maintenance-free operation.
Identified as the A 2Z21 (inch series) and A 2Z21M (metric series), these rugged, compact drives are completely sealed and lubricated for the life of the unit. Three gear ratios, 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 are offered, each with a choice of 3/16", or 1/4" (4 mm or 6 mm) precision ground stainless steel shafts. These units have either two or three shaft positions and with clockwise or counterclockwise shaft rotation.
Units with hardened steel gears and ball bearing inputs are offered for larger torque applications while more economical units with nylon gears and sintered bronze bearings throughout are also featured. Miter gears are used in the 1:1 ratio models and bevel gears for the 2:1 and 3:1units. For convenience in positioning these units, the fiberglass reinforced plastic molded housings feature four standard mounting holes at each shaft position plus three holes in the housing. The compact housing measures approximately 2" (50 mm) between mounting plates and is 2-15/32" (62.5 mm) high. Detailed specifications are contained in catalog D790 and D785, available free upon request from Stock Drive Products, 2101 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11042-5416.
