Fluoro-Plastics, Inc. - MACHINE PARTS TEFLON ® AND PTFE

Because of its unique molecular structure, granular PTFE does not melt. It cannot be molded into complex forms like other plastics. However, it is easily machined on all standard equipment, including the most advanced CNC machining equipment. PTFE can be cut, bored, milled and turned using standard tooling. (read more)

Fluoro-Plastics, Inc. - PTFE and Teflon Molded Cylinders

Fluoro-Plastics compression molds rods and cylinders for machining in a wide range of sizes. The most common sizes are listed in the table below, but many other combinations of OD and ID are available. Molded cylinders are preferred for machining because compression molding yields greater material homogeneity for the finished part. (read more)

Fluoro-Plastics, Inc. - Applications of PTFE & Teflon®

PTFE is very resilient which allows machined parts to conform to most working dimensions. A part can sometimes be press-fitted at lower cost than doing final machining to exact size. When closer tolerances are required, it is essential to use stress-relieved products. (read more)

Fluoro-Plastics, Inc. - PTFE Guide Rails and Wear Strips

Fluoro-Plastics/Surf Technologies stocks standard guide rail shapes: cover bar, chain guide, snap-ons, half rounds, and j legs in various sizes for applications where temperatures exceed 180 deg. F. All shapes are extruded from granular PTFE (read more)
