Join us for this short tutorial demonstrating how to use the portable MTI 1510A Signal Generator. Several examples will be given showing how easy it is to set up the 1510A to simulate a wide range of sensor signals. The demonstration includes such probes as an eddy current probe, strain gauge, charge output accelerometer and magnetic pickup/tachometer speed generator. Not only does the 1510A generate signals, but it can also be used to calibrate or verify signal conditioning amplifiers and data acquisition amplifiers. It does so with such precision and accuracy that it rivals what is found in signal generators costing many thousands of dollars more.
