Automotive electrification is a rapidly growing market segment for many reasons. Consumers are accustomed to interacting with displays, and we all want that kind of access in our vehicles. Plus, with the arrival of autonomous and electric vehicles, more sophisticated sensors, thermal management and display technology is expected.
In this webinar, Boyd Corporation and 3M™ will focus on five HMI and AV/EV applications:
Driver Monitoring - Now you can place sensors where you need for optimal driver monitoring performance, while still delivering a flawless occupant experience. Place infrared sensors where they work best-for your design and for their performance-while hiding them completely with the help of 3M™ Camouflage Films.
Head-Up Displays (HUD) - Achieve best-in-class brightness, color and design flexibility with 3M Head-Up Display solutions. Our array of optical films provides optimal visibility in most lighting conditions and cover the right area so you can improve thermal management, reduce energy consumption and provide a wider viewing angle.
Information Displays - Create the cockpit of the future by optimizing driver, center, passenger or side view mirror replacement displays to empower visionary cabin designs. 3M display films amplify and recycle light, increasing brightness, color and power efficiency. They also reduce driver-distracting reflections. All to give you optimal design flexibility and functionality.
eMirror - Make the rear view mirror way more than just a mirror. Make it a full-width, fully integrated information display. 3M™ Reflective Polarizing Films let you design eMirror applications with seamless transition between an electrified backlit state and the passive reflective state, giving you the highest clarity and visibility in a broad spectrum of conditions.
Cabin Experience - Enhance the user experience inside the cabin and gain flexibility to create a complete and immersive environment. Solutions for solar management, information displays and driver monitoring are designed to deliver a comfortable, safe and optimized ergonomic experience.
