Overview

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have already become commonplace in the new car models: from parking aids to collision warnings to options for partially autonomous driving. This is anything but self-evident for special vehicles and mobile machines. But it is precisely here that the vehicles and machines are large and unclear, and the damage and process delays caused by collisions are often particularly serious. A new Embedded Area View solution from First Sensor Mobility can provide a significant plus in security with modern camera and image processing technology.

This presentation introduces the Embedded Area View application. It's the latest technology of driver assistance systems coupled with long-term automotive camera design know-how. Area View delivers real-time images not only from a bird's eye view, but from any angle in a 360° all-round view. The application architecture on hardware and software side meets embedded requirements, e.g. hard real-time and secure abilities. Attendees will come away with a solid understanding of CMOS cameras and embedded camera systems in general, as well as the application's functionality and ability to meet key standards.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn about CMOS cameras, data interfaces and formats
  • Understand the different driver assistance applications and requirements
  • Learn about embedded camera systems and ADAS development levels
  • See an implementation of an embedded system
