The Umbra Group is renown in aerospace for hardware reliability and is a world leader in motion component design and manufacture. Supported OEM and aftermarket product lines include, but are not limited to rotary torque shafts, gears, splines, couplings, bearings, ball-screws and electro-mechanical actuation systems.

Umbra's global leadership in the design and manufacture of precision shafts, ball screws and mechanical parts extend to primary and secondary flight control surfaces. We have been a proud supplier to the Boeing Commercial Aircraft Group for 25 years, and our machined parts can be found on almost every aircraft with 100 seats or more.

For over 15 years, the Umbra Group has also been active in the aerospace aftermarket with MRO stations in the US and Europe. Umbra supports airline customers by offering overhaul and repair services for its own products as well as actuation components from other companies. Umbra's repair stations give the group a unique insight into the durability and reliability of flight control actuation components and systems, and this insight influences our design and manufacturing decisions at the OEM and product support level.

Ever advancing new technology, UMBRA's low-weight, severe-duty Electro-MechanicalActuator (EMA) products are growing in use on aerospace platforms -their tightly integrated components are custom designed for long life and are ideally suited for both military and commercial applications.
