The team at Instrumentation Technologies decided to take it on. After several brainstorming sessions and creative meetings they decided on a two-step solution.

The EvRx module in the Libera Brilliance+ supports either electrical signals or optical events as trigger signals for various functions such as: source for the MC PLL, triggered acquisitions, postmortem analysis. Its design supports extension to the GDX module that implements Fast Orbit Feedback (FOFB) application. Combination of both enables the user to drive the FOFB application via optical events and set it to different operational modes. The EvRx module is used in other Libera instruments, such as Libera Single Pass E, Libera Single Pass H and other upcoming instruments.

This tutorial demonstrates the use of raw ADC data, adjusting the trigger delay, setting up the single pass calculation parameters and saving the data to a file.
This clip demonstrates how to set up a custom ADC sampling frequency in Libera Spark. The setting range is from 80 MHz to 125 MHz in 1 Hz step. The new sampling frequency can only be set while in NON_INITIALIZED state; that is the default state after boot-up.
It is best to get started with a graphical user interface. This clip gives an introduction to the GUI - its main blocks.
Libera Spark is a compact electron beam position processor that is suitable for synchrotron accelerators. Its main functionality is beam position measurement and is optimized to work with input signals from button pick-ups at low input signal levels. Its digital signal processing supports ADC masking, which improves the instrument's performance at different filling patterns in the ring. It can facilitate all position measurements required in various regimes: pulsed, first turns, turn-by-turn. This video introduces the instrument and gives the feeling about its size and physical layout. In the end, it briefly presents its processing capabilities.
