Teguar's Tom Poplawski and Jonathan Taylor (JT), explain how we build customized computer solutions and OEM/ODM devices, with an example of one of our custom computer solutions. OEM is an Original Equipment Manufacturer, while ODM is an Original Design Manufacturer. Most of the time, Teguar's product portfolio has what customers need, sometimes, customers require a modification or upgrade, and other times, they require a completely new and different product. In this case, we start an OEM/ODM project.
An embedded computer is usually part of a larger system and it is designed to do one task reliably, over and over again, for a long period of time. Examples of embedded computer uses are digital signage in fast food restaurants, automation on a manufacturing line, kiosks, and modern kitchen appliances.
Oftentimes, people associate embedded computers with box PCs, but embedded computers can come in several form factors including box PC and panel PC. Whatever the form factor, embedded computers need to be durable and reliable. They typically have fanless heatsink cooling systems, a wide operating temperature and industrial grade components.
Teguar Computers is a leading provider of high performance industrial and medical panel PC solutions including: touch panel PCs, waterproof touch panel computers, HMI medical PCs, rugged panel PCs and rugged tablet computers.
Teguar Computers hires and cultivates passionate professionals who are devoted to providing outstanding customer satisfaction. Every employee of the company is committed to meeting and exceeding customer needs by intently listening to our customers and fostering continuous improvement in our products and internal processes.
Through team building exercises and activities, we continue to build a strong corporate culture of cooperative excellence.
Teguar's Quality Management System (QMS) is an essential part of our business that enables us to exceed customers' expectations and focus on continuous improvement. In this video, Anand and Paulina, part of Teguar's Operations Department, explain how Teguar adheres to ISO 9001:2015 and how the company works to meet our quality objectives.
Resistive touchscreens consist of a panel of glass and protective film screen that are separated by a very small air gap. The sides of the glass and film that face each other are coated with a thin metallic layer of electrodes. When you apply pressure to the film, the two electrode layers touch, completing an electrical circuit and registering touch. Resistive touchscreen will register touch from virtually any object, which makes it ideal in manufacturing environments where users wear thick gloves.
Projected Capacitive (PCap) touchscreens are used on the vast majority of smartphones and tablets. PCap screens consist of a layer of glass, a matrix of electrodes and a protective film. The matrix of electrodes registers even the slightest change in electrical current. So, when a conductive object, such as your finger or a stylus, comes into contact with the matrix of electrodes, the screen registers your touch.
