The key design feature for the impressive efficiency of the CentriFlow 3D is the newly developed mix flow impeller. The Daisho twin box fan is available in a range of sizes from 125mm to 630mm diameter connection spigots and cover duties up to 3.5 cubic meters per second flow rate and 1250 pascals pressure. All units are fitted with high efficiency EC motors which run via a 230v single phase 50Hz feed, the motor drives a backward curved centrifugal impeller which is made from glass fibre reinforced plastic. The motors are controlled by Flakt Woods own iFan controller with integrated speed controller and most importantly an auto changeover switch. In the unlikely event of one of the fans failing, the auto changeover switch detects that a fan has failed and automatically switches on the second blower. The casing of the Twin box fan is made from folded pre-galvanized steel and is lined with acoustic medium. The unit is suitable for mounting in both horizontal and vertical positions using the integrated mounting brackets.

The DEBA kitchen extract fan is available in a range of sizes from 200mm to 450mm diameter spigots and covers duties up to 2.3 cubic meters per second flow rate and 820 pascals pressure and can operate in temperatures up to 100°C. All units are fitted with IEC-rated motors located outside of the airstream. These motors run via a 230v single phase or 400v three phase feed, depending on unit size. For impeller sizes up to 280mm a forward curved centrifugal impeller made from galvanised steel is used. Larger units use a backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium. Espada duct fans are typically found as boost fans within long duct runs and trickle extract fans due to the nature of them moving the air in-line with the axis of the impeller. The Espada is often used as bathroom extract and in hydroponic applications where humidity is high. It has a light weight yet durable construction and are designed to fit directly into spiral ductwork for a quick installation. Due to the lower flow rates and pressure, tube fans have very low noise levels making them ideal for installation into ceiling voids.

The Estoc square duct fan is available in a range of sizes from 500mm to 1020mm square boxes and cover duties up to 5.2cubic meters per second flow rate and 1150 pascals pressure and can operate in temperatures up to 55°C. As the motor is located out of the airstream, this unit can move gasses with temperatures up to 110°C. The motor drives a backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium. The Induction Thrust Fan is the super low profile product of the Fläkt Woods range of Thrust Fans. The unit comprises of a centrifugal fan with factory fitted inlet bell mouth & guard, plus a deflector vane at the discharge. These units also have some of the largest thrust values available in the Fläkt Woods product range. High temperature requirements can be met at 300°C or 400°C for times up to 2 hours. The unit comes as standard with an isolator whilst it is possible to fit a terminal box. These Thrust Fans come in a standard, galvanised finish; however they can be painted to any RAL colour required by the project.

The importance of being able to offer what we call JM multi-stage, or multiple fans in series, is that we can extract more pressure development than the conventional two times pressure that you would get in a fan or pump. By contra-rotating the impellers we can get up to 2.7 times the pressure development of a single fan and increase the efficiency. This means we use both the left hand impeller and the highly twisted right hand free vortex impeller. A 2 stage fan can offer similar pressure development to that normally associated with centrifugal fans - and similar efficiencies. For JM Aerofoil fans, a 2 stage configuration gives an in-line solution, high efficiency and high pressure development - the maximum for the JM Aerofoil range. Sometimes it is required that a fan is able to operate at elevated temperatures continuously, or when there are particles or hazardous gases within the air stream that would damage a motor if it was unprotected. For this we have a variant called the JM Bifurcated. Bifurcated fans split the airflow around a motor tunnel which means that the motor is held outside of the airstream and therefore does not get exposed to what the air stream is carrying. Bifurcated fans are used as kitchen hood extract fans, keeping the motors protected from grease and elevated temperatures, also bifurcated fans are also used in industrial processes where air temperatures are continuously high [foundries for example] or where acids or abrasive particles are common in the airflow.

It is also sometimes required for a fan to be able to deal with hot temperature continuously, or where you have got particles within the air stream that would damage a motor if it was unprotected. For this we have a variant called the JM Bifurcated. Bifurcated literally means that the motor is held within its own protected tunnel and therefore does not get exposed to what the air stream is carrying. Mainly though, most of the applications for where JM Bifurcated are used are much lower temperatures. Typically it would be a kitchen hood extract in a commercial or large scale catering establishment. This is a growing requirement when direct heat is used in the cooking industry for example. For the JM Aerofoil range, we offer fans up to 200°C continuous operation.

The Roofmaster STEC Plus EC is a series of roof fans comprising of four different unit sizes. The maximum airflow is 1.7 m3/s and the maximum pressure rise is 750 Pa. The fan casing is made of pre-painted galvanized sheet steel or aluminium and zinc coated sheet steel. The prepainted sheet steel comes in black. The surface treatment meets the requirements of environmental class C4. The inside of the fan casing and the side plates of the motor compartment have sound insulation. The fan discharges air upwards and the fan unit and its casing can easily be opened for maintenance and cleaning the ducts. The fan casing can be removed to perform maintenance on the motor. The motors are either EC or high efficiency permanent magnet motors that will guarantee a good efficiency for a broad operating range. The rotational speed control comes embedded and integrated into the motor compartment. The motor is located outside of the airflow. The maximum exhaust air temperature is +40ºC. The rotational speed control enables continuous control of the number of rotations through, for example, switch, potentiometric or DDC controls.

Roofmaster STEF is available in an ATEX-version for Category 3G, Zone 2. The fan is driven with an Ex IIT3 or an Ex de IIBT4 motor. If the roof fan is intended for a frequency converter drive, the Ex de type motor must be selected. The Ex de motor is equipped with thermistors. In size 1 and 2 the impeller shroud is made of brass and in other sizes the inlet cone is with a brass lining. The fan has been mechanically tested (impact tested) as described in EN13463-1. The ignition hazard assessment has been done according to 5.2.3 of EN 13463-1. The fan is CE-marked and there is an Ex -marking showing the classification of the fan.

The units are fitted with high efficiency EC (electronically commutated) motors which are IP44 rated and suitable for 50Hz and 60Hz operation. The speed is infinitely variable via a 0-10v switch signal.

The Sabina single box fan is available in a range of sizes from 125mm to 400mm diameter connection spigots and cover duties up to 0.66 cubic meters per second flow rate and 510 pascals pressure.
