CURVEFIT is a program for fitting experimental data to various Polynomials, Splines and Lagrange interpolating functions. CURVEFIT quickly calculates best fit coefficients and plots result on the screen or printer. A set of X and Y values are supplied by the user and the type of curve fit desired is selected. A least square fit is generated for an assumed polynomial function. The degree of the algebraic polynomial may be specified from 1 to 5. Once the coefficients are calculated any value of X can be specified to determine the corresponding value of Y using one of the four interpolation methods.

GASMOD is a hydraulic simulation software for gas pipelines that takes into account the heat transfer between the gas in the pipeline and the surrounding medium. Gas may be injected or delivered at various locations along the pipeline. The resultant blended gas properties (specific gravity and viscosity) are calculated for each pipe segment at the flowing gas temperature. Multiple compressor stations along the pipeline may be modeled Calculations are performed for a given input flow rate and gas properties. Incoming and outgoing branch pipes and pipe loops at any location along the main pipeline may be specified. The ambient soil temperature and the pipe roughness may be varied along the pipeline. GASMOD can be used for the design of a new pipeline or checking capabilities of existing pipelines.

Gasprop calculates the physical and thermodynamic properties of a natural gas mixture, given the compositional data. You can input the mole percentage composition of each component in the natural gas mixture, such as 85% methane, 10% ethane, etc. and Gasprop will calculate the apparent molecular weight and gravity (relative to air =1.00) of the natural gas mixture, along with other properties such as viscosity, specific heats, Cp and Cv, the ratio Cp/Cv, and the Compressibility factor Z at a specified temperature and pressure. The latter can be calculated using one of the various methods, such as Standing and Katz, AGA method, etc. The built-in database of gas component properties can also be updated by the user.

GPIPE is a steady state, thermal hydraulic simulation program for gas pipelines. Several compressor stations along the pipeline can be modeled, considering various pressure drop formulas such as AGA, Panhandle A or B, General Flow Equation or Colebrook-White equation. Gas may be injected or stripped at various locations along the pipeline. The soil, pipe and insulation thermal conductivities may be specified for calculation of heat transfer between the gas and the surrounding soil.

LIQPROP� is a software program for calculating the specific gravity, viscosity, bulk modulus and compressibility factors of petroleum products at various temperatures and pressures.

LIQTHERM simulates the steady state hydraulics of a heated liquid pipeline with several pump and heater stations, considering heat transfer with the surrounding medium. If desired, isothermal hydraulics may also be modeled. The pipeline may be buried or portions may be above-ground. Various liquid products may be injected or stripped at locations along the pipeline. The resultant blended liquid properties (specific gravity and viscosity) are calculated for each pipe segment at the flowing liquid temperature. Batching of different liquids can also be simulated by specifying the batch size, specific gravity and viscosity of each liquid batch. Pressure drop for each pipe segment is calculated using one of the various equations, such as Colebrook-White, Moody, Miller, MIT, T.R. Aude or Hazen-Williams.

Multiple pump stations along the pipeline may be modeled, considering pump curve data. The pump performance data (flow rate, head and efficiency) may be specified for each pump station along with the pump configuration (series or parallel). If pump curve data is not available, each pump station may be assigned an average pump efficiency for calculating the horsepower required. Calculations can be performed such that maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of each pipe segment is not exceeded. Optionally, the MAOP check may be turned off to determine the maximum pumping capability for a given pipeline and pump station configuration. Branch piping and parallel piping (pipe loops) off the main pipeline can also be modeled.

The liquid temperature, specific gravity, viscosity and the pressure profile along the pipeline at the flow rates are calculated considering heat transfer with the surroundings. Using the input values of pipe, insulation and soil thermal conductivities, heat transfer and pressure drop calculations proceed along the length of the pipeline. The heat generated due to friction is included in the temperature calculations. For high viscosity liquids, the API method for calculating the effect of high viscosity on pressure can be included, as an option. If heaters are present, the heater duty at each heater station site is calculated based on the specified heater outlet temperature, heater efficiency and the calculated liquid temperature at the heater inlet. The total pump horsepower required at each pump station is calculated, by considering the combined pump performance based on the pump configuration.

LPIPE ( aka LIQTHERM-Lite) is a steady state, hydraulic simulation software for liquid pipelines under isothermal (constant temperature) flow. It is a scaled-down version of the LIQTHERM software. Multiple pump stations (Maximum of 5 pump stations ) along the pipeline with pumps in series or parallel at each station may be modeled.
The latest version of this software can be run on Pentium and AMD based computers with a minimum 128 MB RAM running Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista. A minimum hard disk space of 20 MB is required for installing the software.
The software is licensed for use on one computer at a time. Network and multi-user licenses are available.

PUMPCALC is a Centrifugal Pump Analysis program. It can be used to predict the performance of one or more centrifugal pumps, at various impeller sizes, speeds and series or parallel configurations.
