Phelps Style 7010 is a dense Compressed Gasket Sheet reinforced with an Aramid fiber blend with a Nitrile rubber binder. This sheet has a special high temperature anti-stick coating applied to both sides. Our material is engineered for super heated steam, thermal cycling, boilers, heat exchangers and is recommended for sealing gases, fuels, oils and refrigerants. This material’s high tensile strength gives it excellent resistance to hot creep relaxation at elevated gasket stress loads and has very good torque retention.

NOVATEC 825F compressed gasket sheet made with 75% pure graphite. It is easily identified by the cranberry colored "easy release" non-stick coating. This material's 45% compressibility allows for better sealing for those less than perfect flanges. This material does not cold flow when compressed with excessive torque. It likes stress and performs its best when compressed to 5000 PSI and beyond. This is an excellent steam sheet that works best in flanges.

Neoprene is a synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of chloroprene. One other neat feature about neoprene is that it’s impermeable, meaning that it can work as a tight barrier to prevent the escaping of gases or liquids. Water & weather resistant properties makes it an ideal outdoor material and an excellent choice for application with exposure to sunlight, ozone, oxidation, rain, snow, sand and dust- all weather conditions. Neoprene is an excellent cushoing material as well.

Silicone is a synthetic elastomer with excellent elongation, creep, tear strength, dielectric strength (at high voltage), thermal conductivity adn fire resistance at extreme temperatures. This makes silicone rubber one of the elastomers of choice in many extreme environments. Silicone rubber can be immersed in cold, warm and boiling water for a long time without loss of mechanica and electrical properties.

Phelps Style 7536 is the most chemically resistant of PTFE material variants, and is made with 100% Virgin PTFE with Barium Sulfate as the filler. Style 7536 is manufactured by a unique process that structures the composition into fibers - This offers excellent chemical resistance, improved performance over conventional PTFE, resistant to cold flow and creep, excellent bolt-load retention, outstanding dimensional stability under thermal stress, and resistance to wear and abrasion. Phelps Style 7536 is suitable for use with aggressive chemicals including sodium and potassium hydroxide, hydrogen and aluminum fluoride, chrome plating solution and vinyl compounds.

SBR, Styrene- Butadiene Rubber which provides abrasion, wear and tensile qualities. NBR, Nitrile Rubber, is highly resistant to mineral and vegetable oils and is resistant to Petroleum Oils and Aromatic Hydrocarbons.The addition of these rubber compounds to Cork makes this material an economical yet versatile material.

Phelps expanded PTFE sheet is made from 100% expanded PTFE. A soft gasket material designed for high performance service in extreme caustic to acid chemicals. This material has all the benefits of Virgin PTFE sheet, but with significantly less creep and cold flow that is commonly associated with Virgin PTFE. It conforms to rough sealing surfaces, yet compresses into an extremely tough gasket that makes a tight, long lasting seal. Expanding Virgin PTFE inherently has no structural weakness because it has a uniform and highly fibrillated microstructure with equal tensile strength in all directions.

Novaphit SSTC is made of high quality, expanded graphite and an expanded metal insert made from acid-proof-stainless steel AISI 304 - 1.4404, mesh (3 mm wide). Compared to Virgin PTFE, Reprocessed PTFE is less expensive, has lower tensile of 2000 PSI, and has reduced resistance to cold flow. On the other hand, Glass Filled Virgin PTFE has 50% greater resistance to cold flow. Virgin PTFE is compared to Mechanical Grade PTFE.

lass Filled PTFE (known as fibreglass reinforced PTFE) is manufactured from a base of virgin PTFE which is strengthened by the addition of glas fiber. This material exhibits less deformation under loads at both high and low temperatures which increases its utility as a sealing medium. Fiberglass drop warp tape provides an excellent alternative to commercial drop warp tape. Due to excellent heat coefficients, fibreglass dissipates heat more rapidly than organic fibers and therefore provides excellent resistance at higher temperature.
