HYTEX® 1000 Fiberglass Fabrics and Textiles are manufactured from E-glass yarns with a continuous operating temperature of 1000°F • 538°C. Available in a variety of configurations including woven cloth, woven tape, sleeving, and rope, HYTEX® 1000 chemical resistant textiles have high dielectric strength and maintain a large measure of tensile strength at elevated temperatures.

In addition to a range of fiberglass textiles, Mid-Mountain offers high-temperature resistant fiberglass fabrics specifically used in the insulation industry for removable/reusable insulation blankets and pads. With excellent thermal insulation properties, these fiberglass fabrics are heat-treated to reduce fraying during fabrication, have low smoke emission, and excellent abrasion resistance.

The HYTEX® range of chemical-resistant materials, including fiberglass fabrics, can be used for both fiberglass cloth and fiberglass tape depending on your application requirements.

Comprised of 96% amorphous silica fibers, SILTEX^® Silica Textiles are excellent for use as high-temperature resistant insulation where high strength and flexibility are required. Available as rope, tape or sleeving, our silica textiles are unaffected by most chemicals, except strong alkalis, hydrofluouric acid or sodium.

THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tape is fabricated by combining a cover material with an inner core (bulb) material in a configuration most suitable for your application. By using a bulb and tail design, the tadpole tape ensures optimum sealing performance, and can be manufactured to address issues such as abrasion resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance.

Our vertical integration gives us the opportunity to produce THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tape from the materials that are best suited to your application. Cover materials range from woven fiberglass or silica fabrics to coated fabrics coated with silicone rubber or refractory coatings. Core materials can include rubber materials such as neoprene or silicone for maximum density, or inconel or stainless steel core for tadpole tapes that require more less density.

Typical sealing applications for THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tape include oven and furnace doors, boilers, expansion joints, heat shield components, and ductwork.

In addition to fabricated tadpole tapes, Mid-Mountain offers HYTEX^® Woven Tadpole Tapes, manufactured from E-glass yarn and typically used for appliance sealing applications.
