AVK resilient seated gate valves are designed with a fully vulcanized rubber wedge and a lot of unique features ensuring optimum perfomance and high durability. We offer flanged gate valves in OS&Y design and with pin indicator as well as grooved end valves with pin indicator. UL/FM and VdS approved products.

AVK gate valves are designed with built-in safety in every detail and with full traceability of vital valve components. The wedge is fully vulcanized with AVK’s own oil and gas resistant NBR rubber compound. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design. The triple safety stem sealing system replaceable under pressure, the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.

The wedge is the heart of a gate valve and the quality of the wedge rubber is crucial for the valve function and durability. AVK wedges are fully vulcanized with AVK’s rubber compound with outstanding characteristics. The double bonding vulcanization process ensures maximum adhesion of the rubber and prevents creeping corrosion.

A resilient seated gate valve has a plain valve bottom allowing free passage for sand and pebbles in the valve. If impurities pass as the valve closes, the rubber surface will close around the impurities while the valve is closed.

A correct rubber compound is soft enough to absorb impurities, yet strong enough to wash the impurities through when the valve is opened again. This means that the rubber surface will regain its original shape securing a drop-tight sealing. Tests prove that the rubber surface of a DN 150 wedge absorbs impurities up to Ø8.7 mm.

AVK knife gate valves embody user requests for a valve which functions well under harsh conditions. The wafer/lug knife gate valves are bi-directional with full and plain bore. The protected sealings and high-quality materials bring about a great performance and a long service life. The valves are ATEX approved.
