General Description

ACE II incorporates the newest technological advances in electronics and the time proven solutions in cryogenic measurements from the Hoffer ACE system.

Graphical display and “soft keys” allows for easy interaction between operator and the instrument. Multiple, easy to follow messages displayed in full text help the user to navigate through the instrument menu. The menu is built up hierarchically for quick access to a desired function.Electronic circuits are constructed with rugged, multi-layer boards and SMT (surface mount components).

The advanced computation algorithm provides multiple methods for calculating volume, mass and density of the fluid.

Extensive built-in diagnostic functions allow for quick troubleshooting and identifying faulty components.

Communication to external computing devices is accomplished through the RS232 serial port, and optional front panel infrared port. ACE II supports standard MODBUS protocol.

The “ICE” Integrated Cryogenic Electronics incorporates the newest technological advances in electronics and the time proven solutions in cryogenic flowmeter measurement. The ICE Cryogenic System is used to measure and record LIN, LOX, LAR, CO2 and other cryogenic liquids for truck deliveries and in-plant applications. The design is directed toward cryogenic service with ease of maintenance in mind.

The ICE Cryogenic System is paired with a Hoffer turbine flowmeter which uses hybrid ceramic ball bearings to prolong the life of the flowmeter in fluids that offer poor natural lubricity. The system also includes a printer for delivery ticket printouts and an installation kit. Individual components may be purchased separately.

Many features of the ICE unit including its user-friendly interface make it a great flow computer. It features a 4.3” full color LCD touch screen and easy-to-access panel-sealed push buttons and provides direct access to all measurement and configuration parameters. ICE’s rugged aluminum enclosure is equipped with shock mounts but can be fitted with an optional articulated bracket. The back panel is fitted with environmentally sealed, military style electrical connectors for all standard and optional I/O connections.

The HIT-4G is a compact digital gas flow computer with temperature, pressure and compressibility compensation. The HIT-4G is configurable from the instrument front panel keypad or via Modbus communications.

Introduction:

The Nova-Flow Series of flow computers is a family of highly flexible, modular flow computers designed for basic rate and total flow display, batch control for liquid and gas flow measurement, as well as for thermal energy measurement. With more than 500,000 unique configurations possible, the potential applications for these devices is almost limitless. Up to 4 different flowmeter inputs and multiple temperature, pressure and density inputs are supported by one or more versions. A wide range of outputs and control interfaces are available along with as many as three serial communication ports per computer. The Model 2005 is a microprocessor based temperature compensated flow rate indicator/totalizer that provides local display and transmits flow data for control capability. The unit is part of a cost effective family of flow products designed to accept inputs from pulse producing or analog producing flowmeters.

The unit is factory programmed to display in either English or Metric units when purchased with a Hoffer turbine flowmeter. This feature should save the user numerous hours of set up time that is associated with other microprocessor based units available in the marketplace. Programming is done through the front panel keyboard, as well as through the two way RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485 multi-drop communications port.

The FLOWSTAR™ 2005 flow computer combined with Hoffer turbine flowmeter provides the user with a cost effect means for extremely accurate mass flow measurement. The standard linearization feature improves the flowmeter linearity to ±0.1% of reading over 20:1 to 100:1 turndown ranges.

Hoffer Flow Controls, Inc. of Elizabeth City, North Carolina proudly introduces the LCD HIT-4U Rate Indicator with Dual Totalizers, Modbus and Data Logging. Featuring a 6-digit rate display and separate 8-digit resettable and non-resettable flow totalizers; the HIT-4U is configurable for 4-20 mA loop powered or battery powered service. The multi-drop Modbus serial port allows for two-way communication and configuration with remote devices via hard-wired or wireless interfaces. The standard explosion-proof enclosure includes powder coated aluminum and stainless steel options for maximum flexibility to meet the harshest of installation conditions.

Full front panel operation without the need to open the explosion-proof enclosure provides convenience to users and is accessed via the magnetic pointer included with the unit. Data logs are part of the unit menu and are also accessible without opening the enclosure. 100 of the latest data logs can be accessed and read from the front panel with the rest accessible via the Modbus port. The HIT-4U is packed with additional user friendly features including 12-point linearization, dual set point alarm output configurable for rate or total and a wide range of engineering unit display icons.

GENERAL DESCRIIPTIION

Featuring 5 digits of rate and 8 digits of total, the HRT1 is a loop powered indicator capable of accepting magnetic pickup, DC pulse or switch closure inputs. The HRT1 uses the 4-20mA loop to provide power when this output is used and to provide the HART® communication link.
