The Series 70 ePODs: Dual Type-P provides switching between two independent power sources on the primary side of the transformer, while providing power distribution capabilities, featuring a solid-state transfer switch on the primary side of the transformer with a dual power distribution section, providing the ability to transfer power between two or three sources in quarter of an electrical cycle, while delivering that power to up to 24 sub-feed circuit breakers.

The Series 70 ePODs Type-N design provides switching between two independent power sources, while providing power distribution capabilities at the same switching voltage. Type-N ePODs provide the ability to transfer power between two or three sources in a quarter of an electrical cycle, while delivering that power to up to twelve sub-feed circuit breakers.

The Type-P design provides switching between two independent power sources on the primary side of two transformers providing dual power-path distribution capability. Prior to 2003, because of transformer inrush from out-of-phase transfers, you would have found the static switch on the secondary side of two transformers and you could only power the load by one or the other. But today, thanks to LayerZero’s Dynamic Phase Compensation Patent, the saturation current from out-of-phase transfers is minimized. Up to 24 subfeed circuit breakers are available.
