AQT-2000 Air Quality Monitors/Controllers

The AQT Air Quality Monitors/Controllers operates by looking at the signal from a full spectrum sensor, automatically zeroing out temperature and humidity effects, and judging the degree of pollution. The sensor is sensitive to a wide variety of air pollutants such as carbon monoxide, ketones, aldehydes, esters benzene, alcohols, hydrogen, reducing hydrocarbons, and cigarette smoke.

Since the sensor is also sensitive to temperature and humidity, data is fed from on-board humidity and temperature sensors to the micro-processor to remove the effects of these variables from the air quality measurement.

Our latest version is the result of 10 years of development work in the air quality field. Our previous versions have demonstrated, in hundreds of installations, that they can improve levels of clean air in occupied spaces while saving energy by providing fresh air in proportion to demand.

The HHM simply plugs into and derives its power from the air quality monitor with an 8 pin telephone jack.

CO2 vs Air Quality Monitoring

The AQT sensor is better suited to measuring air quality than a sensor which measures carbon dioxide. For example if a person were to smoke a cigarette in a room, the carbon dioxide sensor would not be able to detect this, even though the air quality had significantly decreased. This same set of circumstances holds true for many other contaminants such as solvents, fuels, and even carbon monoxide, all of which are much more harmful than carbon dioxide.

The AirSense Model 310 CO2 Monitor/Controller is a non-dispersive infrared analyzer for measuring CO2 concentration in ventilation systems and indoor living spaces. Its measurement range of 0-5000ppm covers the range required to monitor compliance with ASHRAE or other ventilation efficiency standards.
Packaged in a compact, distinctively styled enclosure, the AirSense Model 310 CO2 Monitor/Controller can be discreetly installed anywhere from the board room to the boiler room. Standard center wiring access and fully floating outputs make installation a snap.
The AirSense Model 310 CO2 Monitor/Controller provides several output alternatives. A voltage or 4-20mA current output is standard. An optional LCD readout is available. An optional relay contact can be configured to open or close above a user-adjustable setpoint.
A simple one-point calibration procedure and a built-in calibration port that requires no special fittings or adapters make the AirSense Model 310 CO2 Monitor/Controller simple to maintain.

AST Series Analog Transmitters are cost-competitive, Commercial Transmitters, utilizing two different, field proven, reliable sensor technologies for a wide variety of gas detection applications. They are supplied in a very rugged, corrosion resistant polycarbonate enclosure with a hinged door and accompanying transmitter circuit.

They produce a linear 4-20 mA current signal suitable for input to any DDC building management system or any generic analog controller. They provide continuous quantitative measurement information for the gas or vapour they have been calibrated to detect. These transmitters are intended for use in continuous monitoring, non-hazardous classified areas such as underground parking facilities, service garages, ambulance parking bays, loading docks, arenas and refrigerant machinery rooms.

The circuits are linear and protected against shorting on the input terminals. These transmitters feature an extremely simple, two-step procedure for calibration, utilizing only one concentration of calibration gas. The polycarbonate enclosures, housing these sensor / transmitters, come standard with three conduit entry ports for easy installation.

AST-8000 series transmitters incorporate wide spectrum solid-state sensors with a life expectancy of 5 years or more. They operate on 24 VDC or 24 VAC input voltages with a 100mA current draw. They are temperature compensated and operate from 0 to 90%rH non-condensing. They are more economical and have a longer life than the AST-7000 series but are less accurate.
AST-7000 series transmitters incorporate high quality, extremely accurate electrochemical sensors accurate to 1 ppm and are quite specific for the toxic gas they have been designed to detect. They have a life span of 2 - 3 years and operate on 24 VDC with a 50mA current draw. They operate from 15 to 90%rH non-condensing.
