The WM8956 is a low power stereo digital/analog converter (DAC) featuring Class D speaker drivers to provide 1 W per channel into 8 Ω loads with a 5 V supply. Low leakage, excellent PSRR and pop/click suppression mechanisms also allow direct battery connection to the speaker supply. Flexible speaker boost settings allow speaker output power to be maximized while minimizing other analog supply currents. A highly flexible input configuration for up to three stereo sources is integrated, with a complete microphone interface. Stereo 24-bit Delta Sigma DACs are used with low power over-sampling digital interpolation filters and a flexible digital audio interface. The master clock can be input directly or generated internally by an onboard PLL, supporting most commonly-used clocking schemes.

The CS43L36 is a low power, high dynamic range stereo audio DAC with integrated I²S/I²C/TDM interfaces designed for portable applications. The CS43L36 features support for up to 32-bit audio inputs and includes bypassable SRCs. The bypassable fractional-N PLL sourced from the ASP SCLK allows for maximum flexibility in any system. There is independent attenuation on each input along with volume adjustment and mute control.

The CS4373A is a high-performance, differential output digital/analog converter (DAC) with programmable attenuation and multiple operational modes. AC test modes measure system dynamic performance through THD and CMRR tests while DC test modes are for gain calibration and pulse tests. The CS4373A is driven by a Delta Sigma digital bit stream from the CS5376A digital filter test bit stream (TBS) generator. It has two sets of differential analog outputs, OUT and BUF, to simplify system design as dedicated outputs for testing the electronics channel and for in-circuit sensor tests. Analog output attenuation is selected by simple pin settings and matches the gain of the CS3301/02 differential amplifiers for full-scale testing at all gain ranges. The CS4373A test DAC provides self-test and precision calibration capability for high-resolution, low-frequency multi-channel measurement systems designed from CS3301/02 differential amplifiers, CS5371/72 Delta Sigma modulators and the CS5376A digital filter.

The CS5373A is a single-channel, high-performance, low power, fourth-order Delta Sigma modulator plus an integrated test DAC for sensor and electronics channel testing. The CS5376A is a multifunction digital filter utilizing a low power signal processing architecture to achieve efficient filtering for Delta Sigma modulators. When combined, the CS5373A and CS5376A produce a compact high-resolution, self-testing, analog-to-digital measurement system that is ideal for single-sensor seismic and geophysical applications. The CS5373A modulator provides high dynamic range and low total harmonic distortion, while consuming significantly less power per channel than our previous generation seismic modulators. This modulator consumes 5 mA in normal operation, 220 µA when placed in sleep mode and by halting the input clock of the modulator it enters a power-down state using only 2 µA. The CS5373A integrated Test DAC is a multifunction differential output digital-to-analog converter intended to test high-resolution, low-frequency measurement systems. The dual outputs provide a precision output (OUT±) for testing the electronics channel and a buffered output (BUF±) for in-circuit sensor testing. DAC distortion performance (THD) is typically -116 dB from the precision output and -105 dB from the buffered output. Noise performance is 114 dB SNR over a 430 Hz bandwidth. Driven with a digital Delta Sigma bit-stream from the CS5376A digital filter, the maximum AC analog output voltage is a differential 5 V peak-to-peak signal. Low power consumption, selectable attenuation, dual outputs and programmable test modes make this device ideal for testing single sensor seismic acquisition systems and geophysical instruments.

The CS43L22 is low power stereo digital/analog converter (DAC) with integrated headphone and Class D speaker amplifiers that operates from a low voltage analog and digital core. The DAC output path includes a digital signal processing engine with various fixed-function controls, such as tone and volume control, and includes de-emphasis, limiting functions and beep generator that delivers tones selectable across a range of two octaves. The stereo headphone amplifier is powered from a separate positive supply and the integrated charge pump provides a negative supply allowing for a ground-centered analog output to eliminate the need for DC blocking capacitors. The Class D stereo speaker does not require an external filter and can be powered directly from a battery.

The CS43130 combines a next generation, low power audio DAC with a high-fidelity headphone amplifier to provide a superior system-level audio performance without draining battery life. This IC minimizes board space requirements while enabling performance and features to drive design differentiation. The CS43130 features a high impedance of 600 Ω, and inter channel isolation of >110 dB. To minimize pre-echos and ringing artifacts, the CS43130 is designed with proprietary digital-interpolation filters that support five selectable digital filter responses. Filtering options include low group delay with pseudo-linear phase and a fast or slow roll-off. Volume matching of the analog output levels and channel mixing enable a seamless transition between the DSD and PCM playback paths. The onboard low noise, ground-centered headphone amplifier provides proprietary AC impedance detection to support headphone fingerprinting to provide a consistent and transparent audio experience for the end user regardless of transducer impedances or frequency responses. The amplifier also supports adaptive post processing for customer bundled and third party headphones/headsets. The WM8521 is a 192kHz stereo DAC with an integrated output op-amp stage, designed to generate a 2.0V_RMS output signal directly, so reducing external component requirements in digital audio applications. WM8521 comes in the WM8521H9 variant which offers different line drive output capabilities and outputs 2.0V_RMS at 9V supply. WM8521 is designed for cost sensitive consumer digital audio applications requiring 2V_RMS line output. A 24-bit multi-bit sigma delta DAC is used with oversampling digital interpolation filters. Digital audio input word lengths from 16-32 bits and sampling rates from 8kHz to 192kHz are supported. The audio interface supports I²S, Right Justified and DSP digital audio formats. The devices are controlled via a hardware interface which provides access to features including de-emphasis, mute and data formats. The WM8768 is a multi-channel audio digital/analog converter (DAC) featuring four stereo, multi-bit Delta Sigma DACs with oversampling digital interpolation filters. The WM8768 supports data input from 16 to 32-bits and sampling rates from 8 kHz to 192 kHz. Each DAC channel has independent digital volume and mute control and the audio data interface supports I²S, left justified, right justified and DSP digital audio formats. Control is by either a 3-wire serial interface or directly using the hardware interface that provide access to channel selection, volume controls, mutes, de-emphasis and power management facilities.
