The HydroLynx 5362 Remote Station Tester (RST) is a portable "central site" and is useful during installation, routine maintenance, and trouble shooting of remote sites. The Remote Station Tester receives, decodes, stores, and outputs ALERT formatted data transmissions from remote sites which allows field technicians to verify transmitter operation "on-site".

The Remote Station Tester equipment includes the 5362 RST unit, a radio scanner, an audio cable, a serial cable, and a battery. The unit contains a field strength meter that provides an indication of the transmitter deviation. This insures that the remote station is operational after the site is completely assembled.

The 5362 RST has two 25 pin D female RS-232 output ports. The terminal port is the 50386 Console output which uses a terminal program to monitor received data; the decoder port is ALERT formatted data which allows the tester to be used as an emergency backup for the Model 50386R/D Receiver/Decoder at the central site. This configuration also facilitates troubleshooting faulty equipment at the central site.

The Model 5060A and 5060B Wattmeter Test Kits accurately measure forward and reflected power in coaxial transmission lines. These portable insertion type instruments are essential test equipment when installing, testing, and maintaining data telemetry sites.

The Model 5060A Wattmeter Test Kit includes a wattmeter, one broadband lock-in-place element, and the Model 5060S Adaptor Set. The wattmeter provides five power ranges from 5 to 500 watts, covering a frequency range of 25 to 1000 MHz. This provides the user with exceptional versatility in a rugged, portable unit. The Adaptor Set provides a variety of cable connectors, a dummy load, and a short length of cable to meet the range of applications expected in typical ALERT systems.

The Model 5060B's frequency range and power level is determined by a Plug-in Element. Included in the Model 5060B is the wattmeter, a 25 watt VHF or UHF Plug-in Element, and the Model 5060S Adaptor set.
