The PPA is available for purchase as single or multiple modules integrated into a
LABware instrument
(combines PPA modules, power supply, cooling, and USB interface). These LABware instruments (the Models 8010 and 8020B) come in several configurations.
The
Model 8020B
integrates connections for a differential input (pos. and neg.), two 1:4 splitters, and 8 PPA modules for independent programming of 4 differential outputs.
Currently,
parallel serial test sources
are very expensive. The Model 8020B's configuration allows it to be simply and easily connected to a single channel BERT or pattern generator instrument to produce multi-channel, programmable, high-speed serial data signals.
