A large range of electrical contacts based on the alloys of silver and subjected to severe electrical, thermal and mechanical forces require perfect bond quality obtained by metal diffusion between tip and support during the brazing operation.

Application

Contact forms

Metalor offers flexibility in production methods. This flexibility allows us to assemble most contact types on a wide range of supports. As far as brazing is concerned we can offer brazed parts comprising several components assembled simultaneously ,e.g. support, tips and arc runners.

• All types of electrical contact material and shapes.
• All types of support m aterials and shapes.

Large range of contact rivets available for low voltage switchgear.
The use of rivets allows great flexibility in a variety of applications and where batch sizes may vary and material requirements may be different.

Application

Embedded in the Electrotechnics Division, Technics is manufacturing and marketing precious metal parts for industrial applications. The corner stone of our activity is the sliding contacts for automotive industry, semiconductor industry and medical industry.

Gold- and palladium-based alloys are particularly well suited to these applications due to the resistance to corrosion and friction, and because they can be age-hardened to control the spring effect and the contact force.

Our main products are solid wires, solid strips and bi- or tri-metal strips. With over 20 years experience in plasma welding, Metalor product quality is recognized world wide and chosen by our customers.

A large range of electrical contacts based on the alloys of silver for switchgear and controlgear used in the range 16amps - 100amps and where high bond quality is essential.
The diversity and flexibility of production methods used by Metalor Technologies is designed to meet most requirements in contact combinations and batch sizes from a few thousand to many millions of parts.
