Description

The MotionMaster ™ (EDR-6DOF) is a portable accelerometer, digital angular rate sensor / logger and recorder designed to measure shock, vibration, temperature and (as an option) humidity, pressure, or resistance-bridge devices. The programmable unit tags all angular velocity and linear acceleration events with a time and date to provide a time history of the dynamic environment experienced during a recording session.

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder offers you a time-tested reputation for proven performance and reliability. The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder is built upon the EDR-3C portable accelerometer series platform, with hundreds of successful installations since 1989. Operation of the Instrument

During recording acceleration and angular rate signals are digitized to 10 bits and stored in on-board memory. The choice of a 10-bit A/D allows for precision, low noise measurements while still making effective use of available data memory and battery power in comparison to 8 or 12-bit systems. The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger series recorders are capable of recording nearly 3 hours of equivalent real-time data over a typical 100 Hz vibration analysis bandwidth for typical ground applications. Triggering

Advanced data management capabilities of the EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder allow the unit to measure and record over 5,000 separate 6-channel waveform sets consisting of linear acceleration and angular rates. IST's unique "Event Type Partitioning" of separate time-triggered and event-triggered data may also be performed during recording. This feature makes post-collection data reduction and analysis easier. The length of each event is also selectable between event types, enabling the unit to be optimized for capture of both acceleration and angular rate data during a single recording session.

Temperature and Humidity Recording

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder series also measures and records environmental temperature using a sensor built into the unit and/or an externally connected temperature sensor. Optional internal and external relative humidity sensors are available.

Pressure Recording

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder series can measure various pressures -- atmospheric pressure, or differential pressure for shipment under positive pressures, and other configurations. These can be provided as external sensors.

Strain, Load and other Resistance Bridge (strain-gage based) Sensors

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder series offers alternative sensor configurations as well. The EDR-6DOFM4 portable acceleration data logger / recorder can be used to provide 3 channels of strain and three channels of internal angular rates. Auto-Zero Offset Control

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder can be provided with automatic digital offset correction between recording events, as an option. This feature compensates for DC offset resulting from temperature variation, as well as changes in orientation. The standard EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder comes standard with auto-zero on linear accelerometers and without it on angular rates. Configurations are available with any combination of auto-zeroing or non-zeroed recording.

Sensors

Each EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder is supplied with a specially designed and calibrated built-in triaxial accelerometer, and built-in triaxial angular rate sensor. The internal accelerometers and rate sensors are piezoresistive devices, offering superior low frequency response characteristics and extremely low power consumption. Acceleration/rate recording can be configured for the internal triaxial accelerometer channels or up to 3 optional external accelerometer inputs.

External Accelerometers and Rate Sensors

The optional external accelerometer input channels are designed for use with "low bias" versions of ICP piezoelectric voltage mode devices. External channels provide signal conditioning, filtering, and constant current excitation for use with voltage mode accelerometers. As an option, IST can provide an external rate sensor package, or rate/linear accel sensor package for connection to the EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder.

External Input Triggering

An external bi-directional trigger channel is available on all EDR-6DOF models.

Flexible USB or Serial Communication

The EDR-6DOF acceleration data logger / recorder offers a special serial communications port for standard or high speed serial data transfer to a host PC. The specially designed serial port enables standard communications at 9600 Baud as well as high speed data transfers at 115 kBaud. USB (serial port emulation) is now also available.

Advanced Programmability

The acceleration data logger / recorders are set up using a standard PC serial port or USB connection along with IST's DynaMax software package. After field recording, data is transferred back to the host PC for processing and analysis. The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder is completely user-programmable for accurate recording of either (transient) shock and/or pseudo-stationary vibration data along with rate data. The instrument may be set up to operate under both event (amplitude-based) and/or time (periodic) triggered recording.

Data Management

Several different data management features are available for handling large numbers of captured time histories. Fill & Stop memory mode records all frames satisfying the trigger condition sequentially in time until the digital memory within the instrument is filled. A second Overwrite memory mode option records a selectable number of events having the largest RMS levels of all events measured.

Sliding Window Overwrite Mode (SWO)

The EDR-6DOF portable acceleration data logger / recorder offers a powerful new feature called Sliding Window Overwrite (SWO) developed exclusively by IST. SWO provides the advantages of overwrite mode and much more. With SWO the field test period is effectively partitioned into a user selectable number of time windows or bins. The size of the time windows is selected by the user. Event overwriting can only occur within the respective time windows.

Improved Laboratory Simulation

SWO enables the user to uniformly capture selective highest-level "time windows" of data during a field test. Recorded SWO can be processed with IST's DynaMax DM-psd software module to generate a separate PSD (Power Spectral Density) for each time window, or any subset of the data desired.

Vibration Test System Compatibility

Data recording with all EDR-6DOF acceleration data logger / recorder models can be processed with IST software for direct compatibility with virtually all digital vibration controllers.

Description

The MSR-3C is a self-contained low cost portable accelerometer data logger unit with a multi-channel, digital acceleration waveform recording system. Our portable acceleration data logger system is battery powered, designed for field applications requiring multi-channel, extended time, unattended acceleration monitoring and recording. The portable accelerometer MSR-3C is programmed for test via a standard serial interface (New: also via USB (serial port emulation) to a PC using either of two optional software packages. After field recording is complete data is transferred back to the host computer for processing and analysis.

Each portable acceleration data logger unit is powered by three built-in, rechargeable battery packs. Our portable acceleration data logger's recording function is controlled by three microprocessor-based digital data acquisition systems. Each of the systems is devoted to data acquisition on one of the three separate, three input channel sets. Channel sets may be tied together for simultaneous triggered acquisition, or allowed to operate independently. During active recording acceleration signals on each channel are digitized to 10 bit resolution and stored in digital memory within the unit. The MSR-3C offers 1 megabyte of data storage capacity per 3 channel set with 3 megabyte total data memory (12MB Optional). The MSR-3C also offers three input channels for optional temperature and temperature/relative humidity probes. Temperature and relative humidity recording occurs independent of acceleration recording, at regular, user-programmable time intervals.

Programmability

The low cost portable accelerometer data logger, MSR-3C, is completely user programmable via a serial & USB (serial port Emulation) interface to a host computer. Each of the three, 3-channel sets are programmed independently, and may use identical or differing recording parameters depending upon application.

Triggering

The MSR-3C accelerometer data logger may be programmed to support accurate recording of either transient shock data or pseudo-stationary vibration data. The unit may be programmed to operate under either event (amplitude-based) or time (delay-based) triggered recording. Once triggered, digital recording takes place simultaneously on all three channels of the triggered channel (set). Channel sets may be configured to trigger independently or globally. When operating under event triggered recording, a user selectable amplitude threshold (g-level) in conjunction with an acceleration time duration threshold (milliseconds) provides the trigger criterion.

Using this threshold combination selective capture of transient shock based upon measured duration as well as amplitude is possible. Record sample lengths may be pre-selected using specific pre- and post-trigger sample lengths, or allowed to be data dependent. Each of the three channel sets has an associated real-time clock for event time indexing. All recorded acceleration time histories are automatically time indexed upon acquisition for subsequent host-computer based analysis.

Memory Modes

The MSR-3C portable accelerometer data logger has two different user-selectable memory mode storage features that are available for handling large numbers of acceleration records. A first fill & stop memory mode causes recording of all records satisfying the trigger criterion sequentially in time until the digital memory ( within the three-channel set ) is full.

A second overwrite memory mode option causes selective recording ( and re-recording) in digital memory of a pre-selectable number of records exhibiting the largest RMS levels of all records measured by the respective three channel set. This powerful memory mode feature can be used to guarantee that the highest-level acceleration records will be retained in memory upon completion of the field test.

Trigger Channel Selection

The portable accelerometer data logger MSR-3C may be configured for trigger criterion on any one or more of three channels within a particular three-input channel set. Triggering may be independently software enabled or disabled by the user for each input channel within each three-channel set. An auxiliary (external) trigger is also available for each three-input channel set. The trigger channel can be used for driving internal trigger signals out, as well as triggering the internal channels from an externally derived trigger signal.

Additional programmable parameters for the MSR-3C accelerometer data logger are digital sample frequency (125-3200sps/channel), overall start and stop times for active sensing/recording, and time interval for temperature/humidity recording.

Power Supply

Battery Pack

The MSR-3C portable accelerometer is equipped with a dedicated, built-in battery pack for each of the three channel sets. This provides added redundancy in field operation in the event of battery failure on any single channel set. Each pack consists of a sealed gel-cell rechargeable battery. When fully charged each pack can power the respective MSR-3C channel set from 12 to 25 days depending upon user-programmed digital sample rate per channel set.

Automatic Battery Charger

Built into the MSR-3C portable accelerometer is an automatic HI/LO battery charger circuit for each of the three internal battery packs. The battery charger can be powered from an external, unregulated DC supply ranging 12 to 18 volts.

The charger automatically adjusts charge rate to maintain batteries at a full level of charge. The MSR-3C accelerometer may be operated with an external power supply connected indefinitely with automatic charging maintained continuously. Each charger circuit is independently fused with fuse access on the main control panel.

An AC/DC charger module is also supplied with the MSR-3C for charging batteries from standard 115VAC line power.

Housing

The MSR-3C portable accelerometer data logger is constructed in a heavy duty, weather resistant housing. Access to the control panel is available under a gasket-sealed, hinged, top cover. Sensor inputs and trigger channels are laid out on a gasketed sub-panel on the outside of the MSR-3C housing. All exposed connectors are supplied with sealing caps for water resistance. The MSR-3C portable accelerometer data logger housing is constructed with a base mounting flange and four holes for rigid mounting to a supporting structure. The MSR-3C may be mounted in any orientation.

Input Channel Characteristics

Accelerometer Input Channels

The MSR-3C low cost, portable accelerometer data logger is designed to support data acquisition from either differential or single ended analog accelerometer inputs (piezoresistive or piezoelectric). Standard units are supplied with nine single-ended input channels for use with piezoelectric (PE) accelerometers. PE input channels are designed for use with integrated-electronics, voltage-mode type accelerometers. Accelerometers are powered from the MSR-3C itself and require no additional power supplies. As an option the MSR-3C portable accelerometer can be supplied with nine differential input channels for use with piezoresistive (PR) accelerometer inputs. The MSR-3C portable accelerometer can also be provided with both sets of sensor input channels available, providing the user with greater flexibility in transducer selection and application. The host computer set-up software enables selection of either PR or PE input channels for data acquisition.

Digitally Controlled Auto-Zeroing

The MSR-3C portable accelerometer data logger is equipped with digital auto-zero capability on all accelerometer input channels. This feature is designed to correct for DC offset drift, characteristic of PE accelerometers subsequent to transient excitations, as well as PR accelerometers over wide temperature ranges. The digital auto-zero provides automatic offset correction at the rate of 1 percent of full scale per second.

Signal Filtering

Each accelerometer input channel is filtered prior to digitization utilizing a 4th-order Sallen-Key analog low-pass filter. 3dB filter cut-off frequencies are fixed at the time of manufacture. Specific analog filter cut-offs ranging from 60Hz to 1915Hz can be chosen by the customer at the time of order to accommodate specific data bandwidth requirements.

Temperature/Humidity Inputs Channels

Each of the three channel sets on the MSR-3C portable accelerometer data logger channel sets is equipped with a temperature sensor input and a combined temperature/relative humidity sensor input. Temperature and humidity channel inputs are designed for use with cabled sensor assemblies supplied by IST. The temperature sensor input channel is designed for use with an integrated circuit-type temperature-to-current converter, with a gain of approximately 1 micro-Amp per degree Kelvin change in temperature.

The MSR-3C portable accelerometer's humidity input channels are designed for an integrated temperature + relative humidity (RH) sensor assembly supplied by IST. The humidity sensor provides a linear output voltage from 0 to 5 volts over changes in RH from approximately 5 to 95 percent.

Software Set-Up Data Recovery Analysis

IST supplies its DynaMax software package for MSR-3C portable accelerometer's set-up (programming) and recorded data recovery. The software package is menu-driven requiring no software programming skills on behalf of the user. The package provides an easily-navigated environment for selecting operational parameters for the MSR-3C, as well as processing recorded data for generation of automatic report formats. Packages are equipped with tabular report formats, interactive waveform graphics analysis, and statistical analysis of recorded acceleration, RMS, and crest factor levels. A complete power spectral density analysis capability is also available for MSR-3C applications involving random vibration recording.

Overview

The SnapShock-PLUS (SSP) accelerometer, serves as an impact indicator and transportation data recorder. The device is a compact, battery powered acceleration event recorders that records peak acceleration including impact, vibration and shock. The new generation devices offer several improved capabilities over the standard Snap Shock accelerometer model. In addition to measuring peak-g shock levels with a built-in accelerometer sensor, the SSP also measures and records shock duration and velocity change (measure of shock energy) for all events which exceed user defined thresholds. In addition the SSP is now available in tri-axial version referred to as the SnapShock-PLUS/3D (SSP/3D)acceleration data logger / impact & transportation data recorder. Each instrument measures and records the peak acceleration levels to which it is exposed along with shock duration and velocity change, and the exact date and time of occurrence. The user may specify recording thresholds in g-level, as well as velocity change, so that only those events which exceed g-level and velocity change thresholds of interest are actually recorded into permanent memory. The SSP acceleration data recorder series utilize a low power design, enabling operation for weeks at a time while running on a single 9-volt battery.

Easy Calibration Checks

Since the SnapShock-PLUS accelerometer recorder offers DC response capability, the recorder's calibration can easily be checked against Earth gravity, without requiring any additional test equipment. A simple 90 degree rotation produces a traceable 1g change in acceleration level, and a 180 degree rotation produces a 2g change. This is a simple and easy technique for introducing a calibration reference input into the recorder prior to sending the unit out for field recording.

Programmability

The programmable parameters for the SnapShock-PLUS acceleration recorder include the g-trigger levels-(x, y, z), velocity trigger thresholds (x, y, z), 3dB cutoff frequency for signal filtering (Hz), and pre-set start and stop dates/times. A separate recording mode switch is also available for allowing the user to simply select either Shock Event or Drop Height mode, for which the triggering parameters are automatically selected for optimal analysis results. The SnapShock-PLUS can also concurrently log environment temperature at user defined time intervals.

Interfacing Other Transducers

The SnapShock-PLUS acceleration recorder can be factory-modified to support data recording from transducers other than accelerometers. Examples of other measurements possible include pressure, strain, load, temperature, and humidity. Contact IST for specific information in these areas.

DynaMax for Windows 98/NT/Me/2000/XP/W7/W8/W10

Data from the SnapShock-PLUS acceleration recorder series recorders may be uploaded and analyzed in a variety of formats using IST's DynaMax for Windows software package operating under most Windows Operating Systems.

DynaMax is the same program used for our more sophisticated waveform recorders, so it provides all the views and sorting abilities you've come to expect with easy snapshots to Word or Excel and quick exporting. In designing DynaMax the customer's ease-of-use has been the #1 priority.

The Sensor

The SnapShock-PLUS acceleration recorder utilizes an internal piezo-resistive (PR) accelerometer sensing element. This solid state sensing element offers excellent low frequency response capability, enabling accurate measurement of low frequency phenomenon such as rail car impact, freight handling impacts, packaging drop and impacts, aircraft turbulence and landing impacts, etc. Several standard measurement ranges are available: + 10g, +/-50g, + 100g and +/-200g. . Other ranges may be available on special order, from +/-2g to +/-2,000g.

The Instrument

The SnapShock-PLUS acceleration recorder is supplied with an integral single-axis or triaxial accelerometer, microprocessor controlled data acquisition, user-selectable filtering and signal conditioning, solid-state non-volatile data memory, and an external activation push-button. For setup and data recovery, the SSP is connected with a host PC running IST's DynaMax user interface software running under Windows, via wireless infrared and/or USB communications.

During operation the SnapShock-PLUS acceleration data logger / impact indicator & transportation data recorder can measure and record up to 1475 time-tagged, peak acceleration levels. With the optional extended data memory this can be increased to 5900 readings.

The storage medium on the SnapShock is non-volatile, solid state EEPROM, providing maximum data security even if the battery becomes completely discharged. The SSP may be activated for recording under either computer control or by the manual push button control. The unit may be cycled repeatedly in and out of recording mode during a single test session without requiring a host PC. Once activated the SnapShock-PLUS triggers and records only those acceleration events which exceed the trigger criteria.

Applications

The HIRTS-1 is a compact, self-contained recording device which measures and records shock and impact to helmets or other space constrained fixtures. The device is planted or installed to an inside surface of the helmet. The device contains three accelerometer sensors which accurately measure the accelerations (forces) during helmet impacts, in 3-directions. Therefore the device can measure and record impacts from any direction, and at any time. During an impact event the device measures and records the peak, or maximum, acceleration (force) of the event, in each of three axes (x, y, and z) along with the exact date and time of occurrence. In addition, the device measures and records the “change in velocity” (proportional to energy) associated with the impact acceleration event in each of three axes (x, y, and z). The HIRTS device can continue to take these measurements for multiple times (up to thousands) and for up to several days of self contained operation. After a recording session (controlled test, practice or game) is complete the device is connected to a computer via wireless infrared in order to retrieve the recorded data. The data is displayed in a spreadsheet-like table listing all recorded events, by number, date, time, peak-g force values, and delta-V energy values. This data can then be used to assess the severity of helmet impacts sustained by the athlete, and potentially used to determine concussion severity for impacts that are unusually high in amplitude and energy. Description

The PANTHER Model EDR -4 series shock & vibration data loggers, monitors and recorders are self-contained, user-programmable acceleration sensor/recorders. The compact, 5lb. Package is designed for remote, stand-alone shock and vibration measurement and recording over extended time periods ranging from several hours to several weeks.

The EDR-4 shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder is a precision field measurement instrument offering major improvements in recording speed, onboard data storage, dynamic range, data management, and programmability features.

The PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder is programmed for test using a standard PC serial or parallel port, along with IST's DynaMax DM-1 software module. After Field recording data is transferred back to the host computer for processing and analysis.

Each PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder is powered by a specially designed, user serviceable D-cell battery pack. The PANTHER's recording function is controlled by a custom designed recording and data management engine. The design is highly optimized for minimal power consumption while running at high, multi-channel digitization rates, and extremely large data memory storage capacities.

During active recording acceleration signals are digitized to 12 bit resolution and stored in digital memory onboard the unit.

The PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder offers from 6 MB up to 108 MB of onboard data memory for wave-form recording.

For airborne applications the PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder is capable of recording upwards of 90 minutes of data while providing a 2kHz analysis bandwidth. For lower frequency ground transportation applications the unit is capable of recording continuously for several days before filing its memory.

Data management in the PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder allows the unit to measure and record up to 32,000 individual 3-channel waveform sets comprising transient shock events or continuous vibration.

The length of each event is user configurable enabling the unit to be tailored to particular measurement tasks. Acceleration recording can be configured for measurement from either the three internal(triaxial) accelerometer channels, or from up to three optional external accelerometer channel inputs.

The PANTHER EDR-4M6 shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder model offers recording capability from six input channels simultaneously.

The PANTHER shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder also measures and records environment temperature using sensors built into the instrument.

Optional external temperature and relative humidity sensors are also available.

Signal Conditioning

The PANTHER model EDR-4 shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder is supplied with three or six high speed input channels: three differential inputs or three single-ended inputs. Recording may be selected from either channel set for any given recording session. On the standard PANTHER EDR-4 the three differential channels are connected to an internally mounted, triaxial PR accelerometer.

Single-ended channels are available as an option for external connection and use with voltage mode, piezoelectric accelerometers. The single-ended channels incorporate their own constant current excitation for powering voltage mode accelerometers. Other input signal conditioning configurations can be supplied on special order for any of our shock & vibration data monitor, logger and recorder.

The PANTHER model EDR-4M1 accelerometer logger and shock & vibration data recorder is supplied with three external single-ended accelerometer input channels only and no internal accelerometers. The PANTHER model EDR-4M4 accelerometer logger and shock & vibration data recorder is supplied with three external differential input channels only and no internal accelerometers. The EDR-4M4 accelerometer logger and shock & vibration data recorder may be used with external piezoresistive accelerometers as well as strain gauges, load cells, and other types of bridge-type transducers.

User adjustable gain and analog low-pass filtering are also available on the input signal conditioning circuits. The unit employs 4th order Bessel LPFs with tunable 3dB cut-off frequencies from 10Hz to over 2kHz. The recorder also provides user adjustable auto-zero offset correction which is tunable from a rate of no correction, ( ie. Absolute DC response ) to a fast correction rate of 1% of full scale per second.

This feature is designed to correct for transducer drift and DC offsets resulting from temperature variations, orientation changes, etc.

Description

The EDR-3C is a portable impact, shock and vibration full waveform recorder and has a built-in triaxial accelerometer that’s designed to measure shock, vibration, temperature and (as an option) humidity, pressure, or resistance-bridge devices. The programmable unit tags all acceleration events with a time and date to provide a time history of the dynamic environment experienced during a recording session.

The EDR-3C series instruments offer a time-tested reputation for proven performance and reliability with hundreds of successful installations since the mid 90s. The EDR-3C series operates similarly and differs primarily in programmability features, on-board memory and channel capacities. Each recorder is powered by a specially designed C-Cell battery pack (9 Volt optional.)

Triggering

Advanced data management capabilities of the EDR-3C/3D unit allow it to measure and record over 5,000 separate 3 or 6-channel waveform sets consisting of transient shock events and/or continuous vibration time samples. IST's unique "Event Type Partitioning" of separate time-triggered and event-triggered data may also be performed during recording. This feature makes post-collection data reduction and indicator analysis easier. The length of each event is also selectable between event types, enabling the unit to be optimized for capture of both shock and vibration data during a single recording session.

Advanced triggering schemes allows the user to select from threshold (event amplitude based), time-interval, time-delayed, time-at-level, external input, manual, and networked (multi-unit-connected) triggering. This flexibility enables the instrument to be configured for a wide variety of dynamic recording applications.

Temperature and Humidity Recording

The EDR-3C unit also measures and records environmental temperature using a sensor built into the unit and/or an externally connected temperature sensor. Optional internal and external relative humidity sensors are available.

Pressure Recording

The EDR-3C unit can measure various pressures -- atmospheric pressure, or differential pressure for shipment under positive pressures, and other configurations. These can be provided as external sensors.

Strain, Load and other Resistance Bridge (strain-gage based) Sensors

The EDR-3CM4 and EDR-3DM4 recorder units are also available for up to six channels of differential inputs, for resistance-bridge sensors. Contact IST for details on these configurations. The standard single ended (PE accelerometer) channels can also be used with acoustic pressure transducers, force gauges and load cells.

Auto-Zero Offset Control

The EDR-3C recorder provides automatic digital offset correction between recording events. This feature compensates for DC offset resulting from temperature variation, as well as changes in orientation.

Each EDR-3C recorder is supplied with a specially designed and calibrated built-in tri-axial accelerometer. The internal accelerometers are piezo-resistive devices, offering superior low frequency response characteristics, high linearity, and extremely low power consumption. External Accelerometers

The optional external accelerometer input channels are designed for use with "low bias" versions of ICP piezoelectric voltage mode devices. External channels provide signal conditioning, filtering, and constant current excitation for use with voltage mode accelerometers.

SWO provides the advantages of overwrite mode and much more. With SWO the field test period is effectively partitioned into a user selectable number of time windows or bins. The size of the time windows is selected by the user. Event overwriting can only occur within the respective time windows.

Improved Laboratory Simulation

SWO enables the user to uniformly capture selective highest-level "time windows" of data during an extended field test. Recorded SWO can be processed with IST's DynaMax DMW-psd software module to generate a separate PSD (Power Spectral Density) for each time window, or any subset of the data desired.

Vibration Test System Compatibility

Data recording with all EDR-3C or 3D models can be processed with IST software for direct compatibility with virtually all digital vibration controllers. All data within the IST DynaMax environment can be easily exported or copied to other windows applications, or saved as a text file.

Description

The EDR-3C is a portable impact, shock and vibration full waveform recorder and has a built-in triaxial accelerometer that’s designed to measure shock, vibration, temperature and (as an option) humidity, pressure, or resistance-bridge devices. The programmable unit tags all acceleration events with a time and date to provide a time history of the dynamic environment experienced during a recording session.

The EDR-3C series instruments offer a time-tested reputation for proven performance and reliability with hundreds of successful installations since the mid 90s. The EDR-3C series operates similarly and differs primarily in programmability features, on-board memory and channel capacities. Each recorder is powered by a specially designed C-Cell battery pack (9 Volt optional.)
