The IR3883 IR MOSFET™ IPOL is an easy-to-use, fully integrated and highly efficient monolithic DC/DC regulator. The on-chip PWM controller and MOSFETs make IR3883 a space-efficient solution, providing accurate power delivery. The IR3883 employs an Enhanced Stability engine that makes it stable with ceramic capacitors without compensation.

IR3883 can operate in Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM) or can enter Diode Emulation mode during light loads to save power. With ultra-light loads, IR3883 can enter a low quiescent current mode making it ideal for Standby power supplies.

The wide input voltage range from 4.75 to 45 V makes the TLF50281EL suitable for a wide variety of applications. The device is designed to be used under harsh automotive environmental conditions. The switching frequency of nominal 2.2 MHz allows the use of small and cost-effective inductors and capacitors, resulting in a low, predictable output voltage ripple and in minimized consumption of board space. In light load condition the device operates in Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) to optimize the efficiency. Between the single pulses, all internal controlling circuitry is switched off to reduce the internal power consumption. The voltage regulation loop provides an excellent line and load regulation, the stability of the loop is ensured by an internal compensation network. This compensation network combined with a current mode regulation control guarantees a highly effective line transient rejection. During start-up the integrated soft-start limits the in rush current peak and prevents from an output voltage overshoot. The TLF50281EL includes protection features such as a cycle-by-cycle current limitation, over-temperature shutdown and input under voltage lockout. The switching frequency is adjustable from 100 kHz to 700 kHz and can be synchronized to an external clock source. The TLE8386-2EL features an enable function reducing the shut-down current consumption to < 2 μA. The current mode regulation scheme of this device provides a stable regulation loop maintained by small external compensation components. The integrated softstart feature with external components for adjustment limits the current peak as well as voltage overshoot at startup. The OPTIREG™ Switcher TLS4125D0EPV is a synchronous standalone step-down DC/DC-converter especially designed for automotive applications.

The device has a current capability of 2.5 A, adjustable output voltage and a feedback voltage accuracy of +/- 1.5% in PWM mode. Integrated power-stages, soft start feature and compensation reduce the required amount of external components and thus system costs and board space. The wide input voltage range (3.7 V – 35 V) and a 100% duty-cycle operation mode make the device suitable for battery cranking scenarios in automotive applications. The wide switching frequency range allows the selection of appropriated coils and capacitors. The switching frequency can be synchronized with an external clock signal. Spread spectrum frequency modulation can be activated to improve the EMI performance in PWM operation. The device is offering a low-current consumption in PFM mode at light loads to optimize the efficiency. In disabled mode, the current consumption is reduced to typically 1 μA. The TLS4125D0EPV is able to detect undervoltage and overvoltage conditions of the output voltage and indicates this with the reset output signal. Overcurrent and overload protections avoid excessive currents to protect the device during short circuit conditions at the buck converter output. The integrated thermal shutdown feature additionaly protects the device from overheating. Furthermore the enhanced PG-TSDSO-14 exposed-pad package enables an advantageous thermal performance in the application.
