The OME-DB-889D is an expansion multiplexer/amplifier board for use with OME-PCI-1800 series families. Each OME-DB-889D multiplexes 16 differential analog input channels into one analog input of the DAS board. The high grade instrumentation amplifier provides software programmable gains of 0.5 , 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000. Thermocouple measurements are handled easily with the OME-DB-889D. The board includes cold-junction sensing and compensation circuitry that provides a scaling of 24.4 mV/°C. Biasing resistors are included for open thermocouple detection. The OME-DB-889D can be cascaded to a total of 128 channels of voltage measurements or 112 channels of thermocouple measurement.
The OME-DB-889D has two 37-pin D-sub connectors and two 20-pin headers. One D-sub connector gets connected to the A/D board’s analog input connector while the other D-sub connector can be used to cascade to another OME-DB-889D multiplexer. The 20-pin header is the multiplexer’s control logic circuit. One of the 20-pin headers is connected to the A/D board's digital output port via 20-pin flat cable. The other 20-pin header is used to cascade to another OME-DB-889D multiplexer.

The DRA-RTM-8 is a 16 channel analog multiplexer. Eight channels accept 3-wire 100 Ohm Pt RTD inputs, and the other eight channels accept 4-20 mA process inputs. All 16 inputs are multiplexed into a single 4-20 mA current loop output. The selection function is performed via four binary control lines generated by the host controller (PLC program). Model DRA-RTM-8 is an all solid state unit that multiplexes the input channels at a switching time of less than 20 microseconds. Each of the RTD inputs is completely signal conditioned including a 6 dip-switch array for coarse channel ranging as well as zero and span trimmers on the front panel for fine ranging. Special attention is given to the lead length compensation parameter because, unlike ordinary transmitters, the DRA-RTM-8 could be mounted relatively far from the RTD sensors. The 4-20 mA output from the DRA-RTM-8 is linearized to the RTD input. The DRA-RTM-8’s superb accuracy and simple operation make it a very attractive unit allowing tremendous cost savings by reducing the need for expensive PLC or data acquisition analog inputs.

Model DRA-RTT-2 is a non-isolated signal conditioner that accepts 100 Ohm Platinum RTD input and converts this into a 4-20 mA process current output which is linearly proportional to temperature. These signal conditioners incorporate excellent lead wire compensation and linearization circuitry. Field ranging is accomplished by using an internal DIP switch array for coarse range setting and front panel accessible multi-turn zero and span potentiometers for fine tuning. Test terminals are provided to monitor the transmitter's 4-20 mA output without disturbing the actual process loop.

The D5000 Four Channel Sensor to Computer Modules are a family of complete solutions designed for data acquisition systems based on personal computers and other processor-based equipment with standard serial I/O ports. The modules convert four analog input signals to engineering units and transmit in ASCII format to any host with standard RS-485 or RS-232C ports. These modules can measure temperature, voltage and current. The modules provide direct connection to a wide variety of sensors and perform all signal conditioning, scaling, linearization and conversion to engineering units.The modules contain no pots or switches to be set. Features such as address, baud rate, parity, echo, etc. are selectable using simple commands over the communications port-without requiring access to the module. The selections are stored in nonvolatile EEPROM which maintains data even after power is removed. The key to the D5000 series is that the modules are easy to use. You do not need engineering experience in complicated data acquisition hardware. With the D5000 series modules, anyone familiar with a personal computer can construct a data acquisition system. This modular approach to data acquisition is very flexible, easy to use and cost effective. The modules can be mixed and matched to fit your application. They can be placed remote from the host and from each other. You can string up to 30 modules on one set of wires by using RS-485 with repeaters.

The TCIC Series comprises low-cost, high-speed thermocouple temperature measurement data acquisition cards with USB interface. TCIC cards use an 8-channel, high-resolution A/D converter with on-board noise filters. On-board cold junction compensation and temperature conversion enable standalone operation. The card also has 8 opto-isolated outputs that can be activated based on individually programmable high/low limit setpoints for each thermocouple channel.
Each TCIC card is supplied with Windows software that displays temperature data in digital meter, analog meter, or strip chart format. Data for all 8 channels can be logged to an Excel-compatible file. A LabVIEW demonstration vi and complete programming examples in .NET are also included.

The DRP-8500 Series modules offer a low cost analog I/O solution for micro PLCs. The series is ideal for discrete automation applications requiring one or two analog I/O channels. All models in the series interface with the PLC high speed counter inputs or pulse outputs. Digital signal pulse-width is fixed at 50 µsec. They will accept a variety of analog inputs, such as thermocouple, RTD, strain gage, voltage, and current. Some DRP-8500 models can be connected to pulse outputs from a PLC, and will then provide an analog output. The DRP-8500 series modules have an isolated floating optocoupler transistor which provides DC isolation from the input, output and DC power. The output transistor is fully floating allowing either source or sink connection to the PLC. The DRP-8500 resolution is 12 bits. The DRP-8600 Series modules are designed to interface with the low-speed 24 Vdc logic inputs of a PLC for applications requiring additional analog inputs. The DRP-8600 modules output a square wave up 500 Hz with a 50-50 duty cycle, allowing the PLC to count the frequency producing better than 8- bit resolution, 1 part in 500. The DRP-8600 module has an isolated floating optocoupler transistor which provides DC isolation from the input, output and DC power. The output transistor is fully floating allowing either source or sink connection to the PLC. All modules are housed in a plastic case with a built-in U-foot for mounting on standard DIN rails. Connections are made to screw clamp terminals that accept wire sizes 22 AWG to 16 AWG.
