Host communication options include Ethernet UDP & TCP, PC/104 bus, CANbus, RS-232, and RS-485.

Atlas® Digital Amplifiers are compact single-axis amplifiers that provide high-performance torque control for Brushless DC, DC Brush, and Step motors. They are packaged in a compact, solderable module and are ideal for use in positioning motion control, velocity control, and precision force control applications. Atlas amplifiers come in both a vertical and horizontal mounting configuration and are available in three power ranges; 75W, 250W, and 500W. Atlas Digital Amplifiers are used for direct control of motor torque or in conjunction with higher-level motion controllers providing position or velocity control functions. They are ideally suited for applications such as medical equipment, laboratory automation, scientific instruments, general-purpose motion control, force feedback, and actuator control.

The Juno® Family of ICs provides advanced velocity and torque control for brushless DC, DC brush, and step motors. Available as a single, one-axis IC, Juno ICs provide full four-quadrant motion control, direct quadrature encoder input, profile generation, field-oriented control (FOC), and much more. Juno ICs are targeted for medical, scientific, industrial, and robotic applications that need to minimize motor noise, vibration, and power consumption.

Juno ICs are offered in three major product groups:

• Juno Velocity Control ICs: Sophisticated velocity and torque control for 3-phase Brushless DC and DC Brush motors with serial, SPI, or CANbus host interface, direct analog, or digital SPI command input.
• Juno Step Motor Control ICs: State of the art step motor control with pulse and direction or SPI command input.
• Juno Torque Control ICs: Ultra-precise torque control for 3-phase Brushless DC and DC Brush motors with direct analog or digital SPI command input.

Prodigy®/CME Machine-Controller boards provide high-performance motion control for medical, scientific, automation, industrial, and robotic applications. Available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis configurations, these boards support DC brush, brushless DC, and step motors and allow user-written C-language code to be downloaded and run directly on the board. The Prodigy/CME Machine-Controller has on-board Atlas amplifiers that eliminate the need for external amplifiers. To build a fully functioning system only a single HV power supply, motors, and cabling are needed. Host interface options include Ethernet UDP and TCP, CANbus, RS-232, and RS-485.

Available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis versions, the MC58000 is a two-IC chipset that provides position and velocity control for Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush motors. This flexible and powerful chipset provides profile generation, servo-loop closure, commutation, and pulse and direction output along with direct quadrature encoder input. Motor command output formats are provided for PMD's Atlas Amplifier modules, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) input amplifiers, or +/- 10V input amplifiers.

The Magellan® MC55000 Motion Control IC provides high- performance motion control for medical, scientific, robotics, and automation applications. Available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis versions, this flexible and powerful chipset provides profile generation, direct quadrature encoder input, and pulse and direction output for step motor-based systems.

Our Magellan® MC58113 Motion Control IC provides high-performance motion control with an integrated digital current loop for medical, scientific, robotics, and automation applications. Available as a single, one-axis IC, the MC58113 IC is a programmable device that provides positioning, velocity, and torque control for Brushless DC, step, and DC Brush motors. This versatile and powerful IC provides profile generation, servo-loop closure, commutation, and pulse and direction output along with direct quadrature encoder input.
