PRODUCT ALERT: Mechanical Products Series 87

Chief partners with Mechanical Products (MP) to supply high quality American-made circuit protection products to the off-road, truck, bus (OTB) market. Recently, MP has released their newest circuit breaker, the Series 87 Switchable Circuit Breaker.

The Series 87 is a heavy-duty switchable high amp circuit breaker featuring a manual reset with on/off switch function. It can be mounted using panel mounting or surface mounting and is available in a wide amperage range of 25-250A. 

The Series 87 is SAE and ABYC Compliant as well as IP66 sealed. Other testing performed includes vibration: 8g force, shock: 25g force, corrosion: 96hr salt-spray, and humidity: 240hr at 95% RH.

This breaker is ideal for DC power systems in marine applications as the main or branch circuit breaker. It can also be used in truck, bus, RV and lift gate applications. The Series 87 is a direct drop-in replacement to the Eaton Bussmann Series 187 Marine Rated Circuit Breaker (MRCB).
