ASC85 is the 25 bit singleturn absolute encoder with large through bore.
It is equipped with a 50 mm / 1.9685" through hollow shaft for direct mounting onto large diameter axles. It provides a space-saving clamping system with flexible fixing plate and three eccentric screws that allow to comfortably and firmly secure the encoder to the drive shaft and minimize the low profile as well. Thus it ensures excellent and fast installation, in particular in tight mounting spaces thanks to the minimum overall footprint.

ASC85 also takes advantage of its rugged and clean design: the enclosure and mechanical components are made of stainless steel and guarantee durability under tough conditions and resistance to corrosion, cleaning agents and chemical contaminants. The protection rate is IP65 with wide operating temperature range up to -40°C +100°C (-40°F +212°F).

Designed to deliver reliable performances in demanding motion control applications, the ASC85 absolute encoder bases on optical scanning technology and features very high singleturn resolution up to 25 bits (33,554,432 cpr) and very high accuracy of ±0.005°. The absolute information is provided through the proven SSI and BiSS C-mode interfaces, while both M12/M23 connector and cable output options are available. This enables the encoder to be easy integrated into a wide range of automation systems.
