Rather than utilizing an elastomeric seat — as in our disk type check valves — the ball style uses a metal-to-metal seat, thus expanding the pressure rating substantially. 

These versatile check valves are available in many configurations, and with or without springs. Having a return spring introduces cracking pressure (minimum differential pressure needed to open the valve.) Many cracking pressure options are available. Users can expect a long, trouble-free operating life from these devices.

These and other features make them suitable for a wide array of smaller industrial applications. For example, inline spring-loaded ball type check valves can be used with expansion valves for pressure relief applications.
