Dimly-lit areas in a plant can be the reason that routine maintenance is overlooked.

When it comes to lubrication, allowing an oil reservoir to deplete can lead to machinery breakdown, lost production time, and significant costs. Levelux™ counteracts this problem with LED lighting that draws attention to the fluid level.

This simple, yet effective invention is the work of the engineering staff at Oil-Rite Corporation. "Our customers routinely request viewing windows, floating balls, and redline labels be included in our products for enhanced viewing," stated Carolyn Boldt, President. "LED lighting was a natural next step."

The LED not only illuminates the fluid for easier viewing but also alerts individuals to the presence of a reservoir or liquid level gage that requires monitoring. A built-in PIR motion sensor activates the light as an individual passes by, directing attention to a potentially overlooked reservoir.

The lighting unit is an integral part of the reservoir or gage and measures 2 inches tall by ¾ of an inch wide. It uses commonly available button cell batteries. The light turns on only when motion is detected and stays on for a few seconds. The short interval combined with the efficiency of the LED provides lengthy battery life.

Levelux™ is available with Oil-Rite's line of clear view reservoirs and steel liquid level gages. Reservoirs can be equipped with toggle shut-offs, valves, and solenoids for various oiler configurations that include the lighting feature.
