FlowHood CFM-850L
BACKPRESSURE COMPENSATED AIR BALANCE SYSTEM
The FlowHood is a much more convenient alternative to time-consuming multiple velocity readings across air diffusers, as this instrument eliminates the need for the calculations necessary to convert the average velocity into air flow.

CFM-850L - This model includes the meter, the base metering section, various top sizes and carrying case.

It measures pitot tube velocity, static pressure and temperature, in addition to airflow.

The FlowHood CFM-88L air balance system may also be ordered as a model CFM-850L with the multipurpose ADM-850L AirData Multimeter.

UPGRADE LATER
When more functionality is required, such as velocity, memory or auto-read, the CFM-88L meter may be converted into an ADM-850L, ADM-860C, or ADM-870C.

Accessories for measuring air velocity, pressure, and temperature may be ordered as needed.

Electronic FlowHood
DIRECT DIGITAL READOUT 25-2500CFM
The FlowHood is a much more convenient alternative to time-consuming multiple velocity readings across air diffusers, as this instrument eliminates the need for the calculations necessary to convert the average velocity into air flow.

  • Automatically corrects for air density and backpressure.
  • Choice of Meters: Air Flow Only
or Air Flow Pressure and Temperature
  • FlowHood kits are available in a combination of top sizes.
  • Custom tops made to order.

Shortridge Instruments, Inc. developed the analog FlowHood in 1974, and invented the line of unique electronic digital readout AirData Multimeters in 1984, providing direct readout of air flow, velocity, pressure and temperature. The rugged, reliable field instrument automatically zeroes and automatically corrects for the density effects of barometric pressure and temperature. Readings in English or metric units. All calibrations certified NIST traceable. Calibration program maintained in compliance with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 17025 and MIL-STD 45662A.
