   Your choices are...
AC Motors       AC motors convert electric energy into mechanical energy using alternating current. The result is that the motor can have either rotary or linear motion.
DC Motors       DC motors convert electric energy into mechanical energy using direct current. The result is that the motor can have either rotary or linear motion.
Servo Motors       Servomotors have a speed and/or position output that is measured, fed back, and compared to a desired input set point. Corrections are automatically made to match the output signal to the input signal.
Stepper Motors       Stepper motors are a special type of electric motor that moves in increments or steps. Compared to stepper motors, conventional motors operate in a smooth motion.
Armatures / Rotors       In direct current machines and in alternating current commutator machines, the armature winding is connected to the commutator and the armature is the rotating member. In alternating current machines without commutators, the armature may be either the rotating member or the stationary member.
Stators       Stators are the stationary or non-rotating part of a motor.
Brush Motor       Brush motors are carbon or graphite devices that ride on the commutator of a commutated motor and supplies current to the armature.
Brushless Motor       Brushless motors have electrical commutation rather than mechanical commutation. Brushes are a type of mechanical commutation.
Tachometer       Tachometers are small generators that are used in closed-loop feedback systems. They measure the speed of the motor.
Coils / Bobbins       Coils and bobbins are successive turns of insulated wire that create a magnetic field when an electric current is passed through them. They are used in applications like electric brakes and clutches.
Lamination Stacking       Laminations are a series of thin sheets of ferrous type metal, which are stacked and fastened together by cleats, rivets or welds. They are commonly used in motor stators and rotors.
Clutch / Brake Coil       Brake coils that are used to actuate the brake or clutch electrically.
Solenoid Coil       Solenoids are coils of insulated or enameled wire wound on a rod-shaped form made of solid iron, solid steel, or powdered iron.
Synchros       Synchronous motors are used when the exact speed of a motor must be maintained, and constant speed has to be maintained up to full load. There are two types of synchronous motors: reluctance and permanent magnet.
Generators       Generators are rotating electric machines that are designed to produce electric power.
Magnetos       Magnetos are a type of electrical power generator.
Toroids       Toroids are coils of insulated or enameled wire wound on a donut-shaped form made of powdered iron.
Transformers       Transformers are used to convert or transpose power, signal or information from one circuit to another.
Inductors       Inductors impede any change in the flow of current. They are formed as a coils of wire and have either a fixed value, or can be tuned to work in the circuit it resides in.
Chokes       Chokes are devices, such as a coil or winding, that resists any current change in an alternating current circuit.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary configurations.

Materials
   Insulation
   Your choices are...
Nomex®        Nomex is a long chain molecule that is ideally suited for use in transformers, motors, generators and other electrical equipment.  Nomex® is a registered trademark of E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company.
Kapton®        Kapton® is an excellent electrical insulator that possesses high dielectric strength and resists physical change over a wide temperature range.  Kapton is a registered trademark of  E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company.
Epoxies       Epoxies have characteristic high voltage insulation properties and are used to encapsulate electrical windings.
Blends - Multiple       Blends refer to a broad spectrum of insulating materials blended together to improve dielectric strength characteristics. An example would be blending polystyrene and rubber.
Encapsulation       Encapsulation is surrounding the windings with a protective layer or coating. The encapsulant may also act as a high voltage dielectric.
High Voltage / Reliability       High voltage and reliability includes any type of insulation that resists electrical breakdown at elevated voltages.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary configurations.
