MEDAQLib from Micro-Epsilon is a significant step forward in simplifying communications with different digital sensors. The software provides a high level interface for sensors to Windows application programmers. Knowledge about the specific control commands for each sensor is not required in order to be able to communicate with different types of sensors. Using MEDAQLib, individual sensor commands and parameters to be addressed are set up using general applicable commands and are implemented accordingly in the protocol of the sensor. The software performs the interface configuration of the sensor so that no further effort is required from the user. In addition, MEDAQLib also takes over buffering tasks and the conversion of measured values, therefore relieving the workload for application developers. A list of all supported sensor series is shown in the download box. The individual functions of MEDAQLib are implemented in accordance with the Windows DLL standard and so are accessible from the many available programming languages under Windows, including C, Delphi, LabView, etc. The user receives MEDAQLib in binary form with C header file, extensive online documentation for all supported sensor commands and a collection of example programs which show the different types of communication with the various sensors. MEDAQLib is available for Windows 2000 SP4, XP and Vista.
