Custom Molding Arrowhead Plastic Engineering, Inc. is an ISO 9001:2000 certified custom vacuum former (thermoformer) and custom fiberglass fabricator. Arrowhead specializes in molding fiberglass and plastic parts for OEM's in the Midwest and Southeastern United States. The capabilities of Arrowhead's five molding facilities include utilizing the following reinforced plastic processes: Fiberglass layup, fiberglass spray up, fiberglass cold molding, fiberglass vacuum bag molding, fiberglass resin transfer molding (RTM), fiberglass RTM lite, fiberglass acrylic rigidizing, and fiberglass compression molding. Arrrowhead's thermoforming capabilities include: Vacuum forming (ABS and other thermoplastics), plug assist vacuum molding, vinyl wrapping, vacuum forming with pre-draw box, plunge forming, drape forming, and strip heating and bending.

Custom Fiberglass and Plastic Projects Arrowhead has effectively utilizied these custom molding processes to produce a variety of parts such as fiberglass or composite truck roofs, fiberglass hoods, fiberglass engine covers, fiberglass planters, fiberglass trailer roofs, plastic dashboards, plastic covers, plastic trays, plastic grills, and fiberglass or plastic roof caps. Arrowhead provides a few examples of the custom fiberglass and plastic molded products that we have manufactured for our customers. Typical plastics utilized for custom vacuum forming include Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), High Molecular Weight High Density Polyethylene (HMWPE), Polyester Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), Polycarbonate, Polyvinyl Chloride, PVC, and Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO). Arrowhead's engineering personnel custom design various thermosetting resin, core and reinforcement combinations to help our customer/ partners meet specific custom design requirements. Some of the materials we are experienced with include polyester resin, vinyl ester resin, isophythallic resin, fire retardant resin, epoxy resin, fiberglass, Kevlar®, carbon fiber, unidirectional fiberglass, bi-directional fiberglass, balsa core, coremat, PVC foam, urethane foam, kraft honeycomb, aluminum honeycomb, and vacuum formed conforming cores.
