Overview

This presentation introduces an intelligent, part-turn, electric valve actuator designed for the modern day plant. In addition to accurate position and torque sensing, Rotork's compact and robust IQT valve actuator offers advanced process control and asset management benefits. Features include a user-friendly HMI that is the focus for non-intrusive set-up and configuration via a secure Bluetooth hand-setting tool. Real time asset management data stored in the integral datalogger is visible at the actuator and is downloadable via the setting tool or control network for diagnostic analysis and asset management planning. Attendees will discover how the IQ actuator functions as an intelligent field instrument, storing and delivering vital flow control data and optimizing process plant performance.

Key Takeaways

  • Rotork's IQ actuator provides real-time valve and process data, visible at the actuator or downloadable using Rotork's Insight2 software
  • A secure Bluetooth connection makes commissioning simple and fast - no cover removal required, maintaining the integrity of the actuator double sealed enclosure
  • On board battery supports commissioning, remote indication contacts, datalogger updates and digital display in the event of power loss
  • Double-sealed protection - IP66/68 (7m 72hrs) - ensures outstanding environmental protection and optimum reliability
  • Actuator never loses position, even after loss of power, using the Rotork absolute encoder
