Overview

Markforged launched the first and only 3D printers that intelligently embed continuous fiber to create a composite part. With the all-new industrial series, that same technology is ready for the manufacturing floor. Markforged applications include everything from engineering prototyping to manufacturing tooling, work holding, and CMM fixtures. Workflows that once depended on costly and time-consuming machining are now quicker, simpler, and less expensive.

All Markforged parts are printed with a chopped carbon fiber reinforced nylon thermoplastic called Onyx. Onyx parts are often robust enough to survive industrial environments on their own - for those that require higher strength, Markforged offers long strand fiber reinforcement. Markforged's CFF (Continuous Filament Fabrication) process allows users to reinforce parts with continuous fiberglass, carbon fiber, or Kevlar filaments. The end product is a part that's up to 23x stronger than a conventional 3D printed part, opening the technology to a variety of industrial applications.

Markforged's cloud-based software platform is both intuitive and highly robust. Part reinforcement can be as simple as clicking one button, but can be as granular and specific as the user desires. The Industrial Series possesses additional manufacturing-grade features, including closed loop motor control and on-head laser calibration that can perfectly set nozzle height and run active topography adjustment. These machines print beautiful, high-strength parts reliably and accurately.

This webinar provides a first look into the Markforged Industrial Series. VP of Product Jon Reilly outlines each machine's individual capabilities and features, and demonstrates how they can be used to replace costly and time-consuming machining processes. Learn how to lower costs and lead times with Markforged's 3D printers.
