Overview

Much has been written about the "Industrial Internet of Things" (IIoT) - connecting manufacturing, production or operations to enterprise systems in order to collect data and make informed decisions to improve business performance. To fully maximize the benefits of IIoT, attendees will be challenged to consider implementing and integrating wireless solutions into the existing industrial network infrastructure. There is a growing set of applications where wireless can deliver real benefits now, and today's industrial wireless solutions are reliable, robust, secure and easy to implement - matching and even exceeding traditional wired solutions. Attendees will be given information, practical tips and real-world examples that will benefit both IT and industrial automation professionals looking for the best way to implement industrial wireless and integrate it into their existing network infrastructures.

Key Takeaways

  • Assess past experience with industrial wireless technology.
  • Consider new applications for industrial wireless and the benefits of implementation.
  • Investigate present-day industrial wireless technology and solutions that are reliable, robust, secure and easy.
  • Engage suppliers who have industrial wireless solutions that meet specific needs.
