Overview

This webinar will be broadcasted at 10 am New York, 7 am Los Angeles, 4 pm Berlin.

Attendees of this presentation will receive an overview about the real-time Ethernet standard EtherCAT® and discover the latest Infineon product offered to serve this market - the first-ever EtherCAT® node on an ARM® Cortex® M4 Microcontroller with on-chip flash & analog/mixed signal capabilities. Infineon Technologies offers the widest product portfolio with the most competitive feature set and pricing for EtherCAT® based applications. Attendees will learn why EtherCAT® deployment is "not only about a single microcontroller, but also about tooling and ecosystem." In addition, they will understand how Infineon's development tools and evaluation boards enable faster time-to-market and money saved.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn how XMC4300/XMC4800 enables EtherCAT® applications in harsh environments with ambient temperatures reaching 125°C
  • Understand how both series - which require no additional components such as dedicated EtherCAT® ASIC, external memory, or quartz clock generator - enable the most compact designs
  • Discover the broadest product portfolio for EtherCAT® based applications
  • Benefit from BOM cost and PCB space savings
