Industrial Process Equipment & Automation
Overview
Connectors offer excellent mechanical stability and are available with high ingress, temperature, and vibration resistance; harsh weather durability; and multiple termination options. Most rectangular connectors are modular and user-configurable. Using different inserts, a connector can be configured with power, signal, fiber, coax, D-Sub, etc. In addition, recent innovations such as quick-lock termination, click-and-mate assembly, plus twist-top locking make installation and maintenance faster than ever. Attendees of this presentation will learn why many thousands of equipment manufacturers have switched from point-to-point (hard) wiring to connector-based cable assemblies in factory as well as process automation and control systems.
Key Takeaways
- Learn why hardwiring might be costing you money
- Understand the concept of "connectorizing" your machinery
- Discover how progressive connective solutions help users improve unit costs and productivity, service orders more quickly, and complete installations faster
- Learn of new products available in today's connector market
