Introduction to LIVM Accelerometers

From Dytran Instruments, Inc.

Low Impedance Voltage Mode (LIVM) accelerometers are designed to measure shock and vibration phenomena over a wide frequency range. They contain integral IC electronics that converts the high impedance signal generated by the piezo crystals to a low impedance voltage that can drive long cables with excellent noise immunity.

Products & Services
Vibration instruments are used for measuring, displaying and analyzing vibration. Typically these instruments comprise a transducer, data acquisition and either a local display or some sort of output to a computer or another instrument. Accelerometers are instruments for measuring, displaying, and analyzing acceleration and vibration. Search by Specification | Learn more about Accelerometers
Shock and impact sensors are devices that detect sudden or severe impacts at a predetermined level and indicate whether the level has been exceeded. Search by Specification | Learn more about Shock and Impact Sensors
Seismic instruments are used to measure low frequency ground motion caused by earthquakes. Search by Specification | Learn more about Seismic Instruments
Impact hammers are used in structural and modal analysis to determine component or system response to impacts of varying amplitude and duration. A hammer with a force transducer in its head is paired with an accelerometer on the component being tested to compare impact and response. Search by Specification | Learn more about Impact Hammers
