Bidirectional RF Couplers

Bidirectional RF couplers are four-port devices that are similar to unidirectional RF couplers, but have the termination removed from the fourth port. Main line power is coupled to the forward output of the secondary line, and reflected power is coupled to the reflected output. In order for isolation to be achieved, coupled outputs must be obtained through well-matched terminations at each port. Bidirectional RF couplers are not internally-terminated at the reverse-coupled port. Instead, they are designed to allow the transmission of forward and reflected signals.

Products & Services
RF couplers are circuits that sample RF transmissions by combining (coupling) signals asymmetrically. There three basic types of devices: unidirectional, bidirectional, and dual directional. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Couplers
RF waveguide couplers are RF circuits used to sample RF frequency transmissions by coupling (combining) signals asymmetrically. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Waveguide Couplers
RF isolators and RF circulators are passive devices used to control the propagation of an RF signal. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Isolators and RF Circulators
RF waveguide components are circular, elliptical or rectangular metal tubes or pipes through which electromagnetic waves are propagated in microwave and RF communications. The wave passing through the medium is forced to follow the path determined by the physical structure of the guide. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Waveguide Components
RF switches route radio frequency signals to particular waveguides. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Switches
