From Applied Industrial Technologies
With energy costs constantly rising, it's critical to identify opportunities that positively impact the bottom line. Electric motor-driven systems are estimated to consume more than one-half of all electricity in the USA and more than 70% of all electricity in industrial applications. In 1992, the Energy Policy Act (EPAct) established minimum efficiency standards for industrial electrical motors. Yet, only about 10 percent of all motors in use today comply with the minimum efficiency levels that the act mandates. A well-planned energy efficiency management program can reduce plant operating expenses and lead to increased profits. Products & Services
