Creep feed grinding is a high-productivity abrasive removal process that is often limited by thermal damage and high wheel wear. A review of current industrial practices in the area of coolant supply optimization in grinding shows that very little knowledge of pressure, flowrate and method of appliocation exists in industry. This paper presents an experimental procedure to evaluate the lower limit of coolant flow rate for a given grinding system consisting of a common wheel type, material type, and coolant type. Products & Services
Precision grinding services perform operations such as centerless grinding, creep feed grinding, double-disc grinding, internal grinding, external grinding, jig grinding, surface grinding, and thread grinding.
Grinders and grinding machines use an abrasive that is bonded to a wheel, belt or disc to remove material and improve surface finish.
Grinding wheels are used for metal removal, dimensioning, and finishing. They consist of an integral shank, pin, shaft, or mandrel that drives a mounted wheel or blades.
Diamond tools and wheel dressers are used to condition, true and dress grinding wheels. Dressing is the process of re-sharpening the tiny cutting edges on a grinding wheel’s surface.
Superabrasives and diamond wheels consist of grinding wheels, abrasive saw blades, wheel dressers, single point tools and other products utilizing diamond or cubic boron nitride (CBN) abrasive grain.
