NOTE: The stress area of threaded series not included in Table 2 may be computed from the equation: As=0.7854 (D - 0.9382P)2 WHERE: As=Stress area in mm2 D=Diameter in mm P=Pitch in mm

CAUTION: The previously listed torque and resulting tension are provided as an advisory guide. Individual application discretion is recommended. The content, has been presented as accurately as possible, but responsibility for its application lies with the user, and Elgin Fastener Group is not responsible for any loss, claim, or damage arising there from. A complete discussion and tutorial on Torque Tensioning is available from Elgin Fastener Group by request.

Hook and loop fasteners consist of two layers of fabric. The hook layer is covered with tiny hooks and the loop layer is covered with tiny loops. Hook and loop fasteners are commonly known as Velcro®. Velcro is a registered trademark of Velcro Ind.
Power cables are solid or stranded conductors surrounded by insulation, shielding, and a protective jacket.  These cables are designed for high voltages (>600 V).
Captive fasteners meld with the material into which they are joined through a process known as cold forming. Once joined, the fastener and the material are permanently fused into a single entity.
Tool support systems provide support for one or more tools, such as impact wrenches, screwdrivers, staplers and other tools.
Screws are fasteners that consist of a threaded shaft at one end and, typically, a head at the other. They are inserted into solid materials and secured via rotation.
