From gage-applied.com
The customer is using an offset IF radar to map forest terrain density. The equipment will be mounted in an aircraft, which will also be carrying a Global Positioning System (GPS) for reference. The plane will fly at an altitude of 10,000 feet. A 512ns radar pulse will be sent out and a return pulse will be received about 20uS later, from which 10,000 samples will be acquired. After the pulse is received, there will be a relatively long re-arm time of about 250 to 300 uS for the radar. Products & Services
Navigational instruments and avionics include GPS devices, compasses, chronometers, radar units and other instruments for orientation, relative position and absolute position (longitude / latitude).
Pulse transformers interface a pulse forming network (PFN) and a load. They match the impedance of the load to the PFN in order to maximize power-transfer efficiency.
Collision avoidance sensors use various types of proximity sensors to detect the presence of an object or obstruction.
Dry material (powders) level switches are used to measure levels of dry, solid materials via an electrical switching action.
Level transmitters or level transducers are used to measure the level of a liquid or bulk solid material (as well as slurries) within a specified space. For each measurement, they provide an electrical output that is proportional to the input level.
